Lord, we're not here to be a hero or to be seen or t.v.
we're here to serve a purpose to save human beings.

This new Presedent; he's not the true meaning of Kenya
Please hurry up and get him out, so people can rebuild

A mist in death and destruction, give everyone strength to carry on.
Let the light of your love shine as the whole country fights thier freedom.

Give their ears the sensitivity to hear the faintest sound
give em courage to keep going until the last person is found.

Even though we know so many precious lives were lost
True Kenyans will bring the home to their loved ones no matter what the cost.

The walls may crash in around em and the skies may turn deathly gray
But Kenya will go back to ground zero......it just might take another day.


(In hopes SOON the president will step down) Stay srong, I give much respect to the people living through this political war.

thanks Rain for dropin' concern on tha' situation in our country/
your words are like rain drops of peace on our burnin' country/
putin' off tha' fire,stopin' tha' hatred across ethnic boundries/
its a cursed regime,offerin' innocent blood as supreme sacrifice/
offerin' a virgin land to be raped by political violence n tribal war/
these are screams for help from an abused nation,let tha' world hear/
souls of tha' dead now wander tha' streets,causin great terror n fear/
scenes we cant bear anymore,"pple dyin' like flies" n' so much more/
skies already dark with evil, walls crackin',we gon get burried alive??!!/
I hope this is a sign from GOD,a test from GOD,to strengthen our lives/
n' on tha peak of tha' mountain/HE gon' set our feet upon tha' rock once more/
please GOD, give us one more chance..one more chance...one more chance....jus' one more.........../

Caged Bird by Maya Angelou (one of the best poets ever)


A free bird leaps
on the back of the wind
and floats downstream
till the current ends
and dips his wing
in the orange sun rays
and dares to claim the sky.

But a bird that stalks
down his narrow cage
can seldom see through
his bars of rage
his wings are clipped and
his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings
with a fearful trill
of things unknown
but longed for still
and his tune is heard
on the distant hill
for the caged bird
sings of freedom.

The free bird thinks of another breeze
and the trade winds soft through the sighing trees
and the fat worms waiting on a dawn-bright lawn
and he names the sky his own.

But a caged bird stands on the grave of dreams
his shadow shouts on a nightmare scream
his wings are clipped and his feet are tied
so he opens his throat to sing.

The caged bird sings

To all our loved ones lost in tha' violence/
i know you watchin' down on us in silence/
we still love u' same even in your absence/
becoz u still liventh amongst us spiritually/
even though u' bodies was destroyed brutally/
u' souls will forever live with us as one family/
great fear u've overcome, pain n' death too/
now we look upon u' to forgive n' save us too/
as we jointly seek peace n' pray for sanity/
we ask for u' help in u' spiritual capacity/
to help us forgive n' also love one another/
n' to all those caught between tha' violence/
now livin' as refugees in great fear n' silence/
although from your homes u've been displaced/
we still love u' /in our hearts u'll neva b displaced/
ma' heart pains at u' fears n' tears of sorrow/
each glance of u' on TV is another moment of sorrow/
every single day on ma' knees beggin' for peace/
n' i aint gonna stop even if ma' knees got bruised/
till tha' hatred n' killins' ceases n' every wound is healed/
