Flamini has vowed to win the Premiership title this season for Eduardo. There isn't anybody in the world today with a beating heart, not even a Man Utd fan that saw the result of Taylor's tackle on Eduardo that wouldn't rise up to condemn it. With all the flak Mikel Obi' s been getting, if he had been the one who made that tackle, he'd probably be banned from the game so why are people giving Wenger stick over his earlier comments? Fergie or even Jose (surely) would've said more if it was their player that got such a horrendous injury.

After all is said and done, the best I can do is wish Eduardo a speedy recovery (nine months!) and pray that the boys win the Premiership and Champions League for him. Then when they do, they should do what we did for Pires the season he got injured and didn't play til we won the Premiership.

God dey...

I personally think Wenger said wat he said in the heat of the moment. Seeing wat is probably the worst injury he's seen in his managerial career. Happening to one of his best players who started coming into his own. Happening at a crucial time in the season: thick of the title race, and champions league. Dropping point when 3 looked to be in the bag. Anyone will be sore by all that. But he calmed down and evaluated things and was man enuff to apologize, which I think is a big-man move. I'm an ARSENAL FAN but a rational individdual as well(at least I like to think that), AW and Arsenal FC have a bad attitude when things are headin south. I was impressed with his comments afterwards. Good news Edu has a chance to return by Xmas, where he could have been facing amputation. This should be extra motivation for the team. Lets be ruthless with our finishing and tear teams apart. Real recognize real: Man u do that well! - As I really hate to say but... Bedtner and Ade need to sort themselves out.

We're gonna do it!!!

Kyt said "We're gonna do it!!!"

I say "AMEN"!!!

I agree that AW made that comment in the heat of the moment and was right to have apologized later. That's taking nothing away from the facts that the injury was reprehensible and should be punished with more than a red card. I bet Jose Mourinho would have said more than AW did or Fergie (didn't he say anything yet?). If that tackle had happened to Rooney, the whole of England especially the FA would probably have....
I'm still bitter about the incident especially since my friend who's a Man U fan sent me an MMS with the video of the incident and close-up pics of his broken foot. How she got the close-up pics beats me hollow and I've deleted the MMS from my phone. I hope the video and pics don't show up on YouTube and that if they do, people will at least have the decency to not post them on AHH.

His leg's broken in three places! I literally feel his pain cos my younger brother's still hospitalized with a broken femur and I know how painful it is to see him or anybody else incapacitated like that. Never mind amputation: Eduardo's gonna miss Euro 2008 this summer and that's especially sad if you remember how he helped England not to qualify! I'm not peddling a conspiracy theory but go figure...

Like StereoMan sang, "e dey pain me o..gan gan"!
God dey!

P.S: I'm a real footie fan and respect Man U...I recently told someone that the difference between Man U and Arsenal is that on Man U's good day, they can beat any team by at least 5 goals while Arsenal on a good day can beat a team 3 nil.
See wetin Man U do Newcastle this season.
Sorry Ice Cube and Eazy-E but that's Ruthless!

EDUARDO, GET WELL SOON!

Gunners, I troway salute o!
We just drew with Aston Villa and I'm not complaining about the result.
I'm fresh from the Arsenal website and I saw an article that's "relevant to the times like the Psalms read in the Bible" (props to Talib Kweli).
Here's a link to the article:
http://www.arsenal.com/article.asp?this ... protection

For those gate-crashing haters who won't take the pains to visit the Arsenal website and read the informative article, here are a few undeniable points AW raised in the article:

(1). “We are the team in the last three years that has committed less fouls than any other team, and the numbers are available. We are the team that has been fouled more than any other team and the team that has been punished more than any other team."

(2). “We try to behave how we want to behave and how we think we should behave but we just want the right protection from referees.

(3). “I can show you the legs of [Alex] Hleb for example when he comes out of a game — he doesn’t get the protection he deserves."

(4). The man in the middle though is not the only one to blame, according to Wenger.

“I can give you examples many times,” he continued. “Journalists with smiles on their faces ask me, 'they got in your face today and you didn’t have the answer'. That is encouraging violence.

“And how many times do I sit in a press conference and people are looking at me thinking 'you try to play football but when people kick you, you don’t have the answer'.

Would anybody care to refute the facts especially in (1) above?

as cool as what you stated might sound, I have questions for you:

WHO GIVES A FUCK ABOUT THAT SHIT? (LMAO!!! @ HLEB Reference)
DID IT FETCH YOU THE TITLE?

LOL...you are hilarious, weeks ago it was 5 points clear blah blah..., now you're talking about Psalms....LOL OMG, i told you its not over, plus you guys still have to come to Old Trafford, and go to Stamford Bridge...don't worry you're gonna need more than Psalms....LOL

WHO GIVES A f*ck ABOUT THAT SHIT? (LMAO!!! @ HLEB Reference)
DID IT FETCH YOU THE TITLE?

Formula-1, it is an undeniable pleasure to see you fall into the booby-trap set for "those gate-crashing haters who won't take the pains to visit the Arsenal website"! For each of you haters that call Gunners "Arse-Anal", I would like to indulge you by paraphrasing Mourinho and call you queer "voyeurs"...but there are issues more relevant to the times that I must see to.

Apparently, you really are insensitive to the times. Eduardo got injured in a horrific tackle by Matt taylor and a deluge of support for the Arsenal is coming in from all over the world. AW had called for a life ban on Taylor and retracted that statement. The concern of the generality of the soccer world is how to prevent such an injury from re-occuring anywhere. It follows that if Arsenal players have been the most targeted (thanks for admitting your bad-belle; get some laxatives), attention should be drawn to this fact and protection be made for the players.

Any coach who looks out for his players would come out to alert the world to the closet freaks and conspirators who gloat and rejoice that our players are being targeted for playing the most beautiful brand of soccer on God's green earth today. Arsene Wenger has jumped to the defence of his players unlike a certain coach who chews bubble gum like a cow chewing the cud and throws dangerous objects at his players and even wounds them!

I woulda thought that Formula-1 cars make pit-stops in their teams hold but apparently, you are gravitating towards Arsenal with your eyes open. Even those at the Theatre of Dreams dream about playing the Arsenal way and have become somnabulists who can't help but....have wet dreams and....

I am flattered that you consider my previous post as "cool"! You asked me two questions which I will answer as follows:

Question 1. WHO GIVES A f*ck ABOUT THAT SHIT? (LMAO!!! @ HLEB Reference)
Answer: According to Arsenal.com, about 26,597 have sent Eduardo goodwill messages from around the world. That is not including the millions of Arsenal supporters (closet and Option A4), nor the generality of reasonable men (R.I.P Marlon Brando) who are disheartened by the unfortunate injury that Eduardo suffered.

Question 2. DID IT FETCH YOU THE TITLE?
Answer: You must be stuck in a time warp from last season where Chelsea handed you guys the title! If you look through my Wenger quote No.1, you'll see that in the last three seasons that Chelsea won the league twice and Man U once, we have been the most targeted team from officials and other players. We have taken it like men and are not crying about it. However it was pertinent that AW stated the facts because as I beleive he knows, "failure to stand up for what is morally right is often the prelude to being the victim of what is criminally wrong"!

You are right about one thing though, we're gonna need more than Psalms to win the league this season...
We're gonna need the long-over due protection of our players from malicious tackles and ridiculous officiating...
We're gonna need the unflinching support of true Gooners...
We're gonna need Eduardo to get better soon so the players can be better motivated to play as they might be disenchanted at the lack of protection from the F.A...
Most importantly, we're gonna need God!

If you can top that list Mr Red Devil, go to hell!

Thank you!

Sup y'all?
On behalf of every Gooner who has said a word of prayer for Eduardo since his injury, you are not alone!
Goodwill message are still pouring in from soccer fans across the world for Dudu to have a speedy and permanent recovery. My heart still goes out to "R-9" even though we are facing Milan next week and he's still a Milan player...technically.

According to Arsenal.com, the club website has received "an incredible total of 26,597 messages from all across the world and we'd like to thank everything who took the time to e-mail us. Arsenal.com will collate the messages, put them into a book and give them to Eduardo."

Here are some of my favourites from the goodwill messages sent to Dudu (ask the Yorubas to tell you what Dudu means in English).
Oya now...ju won bota!
"I run an Under-11s boys football team in Writtle, Essex. At the end of last season one of our boys suffered a similar injury (unusual for a boy that age, I am told). Within three months he was back training and hasn’t missed a game or training session this season. He has gone on to improve his game also. I hope this will inspire Eduardo to come back stronger, and from all at Writtle Minors we wish him a speedy recovery, we need players like him as a role model for a future stars" - Damian Moynihan

"Come back soon gorgeous! Fitter, stronger, faster, and even more gorgeous than before, if that's possible. We all think you are fantastic and look forward to your speedy return! All my love and support" - Cecily Sharp, Lichfield

"I am so sorry about your injury. You are already a true Gooner and I wish you the most speedy recovery possible. I am a medical doctor and I am always amazed by how people can and do bounce back from the most terrible illnesses and injuries - I am sure you will do the same. Best Wishes" - Dr Matthew Johnson
Here's one of the most touching goodwill messages.
"Eduardo, I have been an Arsenal supporter for nearly 70 of my 75 years. Over those years I have seen some horrendous injuries incurred by various players but have also seen the vast majority of those players make a full recovery and come back to be again at the top of their game. You have the support of a wonderful club. I look forward to seeing you, in the not too distant future, back gracing the Arsenal shirt with your undoubted skills. I wish you well" - Roy A Wilson, Australia

"I saw the match on local TV here in Belgium. I’m a big fan of you and Arsenal. I can’t wait to see you back on the pitch and I will be sure that I cheer for you when that time comes. Hope you will come back even stronger than before!" - Davy Legrand, Belgium

"Wishing you a speedy recovery. It's going to be tough on the sidelines, seeing your team-mates playing genuine and good football. Just chill, have faith and stay positive. Looking forward to seeing you again impressing us with your brilliant goal scoring ability and talent" - Chibuogwu, Nigeria

"Hey Eduardo. Recovery is as fast as ones strength. Be strong, believe you can go back to the line-up and that will take you there sooner rather than later. Otherwise in every business there is a risk, when it hits us, we learn the lesson, rise up and move on. I do believe you are strong enough to follow suit" - Frazier K, Kenya

"I am 50-year-old West Ham United supporter and broke my leg like you when I was 28. I recovered with lots of physio and hard work and I am still running 15 miles a week! Good luck, I am sure Arsenal will look after you very well. I wish you a very speedy recovery, keep positive and you will be back to your best" - Geoff Cousens, Herts

"As a young, strong athlete you will come back stronger than ever. Everyone in football is behind, Arsenal, neutral or foe as well as every sportsman at every level. You have world class support and they will get back to where you were and beyond. Good Luck" - Phil Simmons

“Hey Eduardo. Words can’t express how I felt when Fabregas held his hands to his head on seeing you. The Lord Jesus will see you through this terrible recovery period. I’m sure you’ll be rewarded with the Premiership trophy. “ Josephus Choe, Sierra Leone

"A true athlete rises from setbacks and returns as stronger as ever and I am confident that you will be able to do so. You have been an inspiration to me. I wish you a speedy recovery. God bless you Eduardo!" - Yusoff, Singapore

“Dudu, we will miss your magic at Emirates for the rest of the season! We loved the fact you joined our Arsenal where we've watched you playing and scoring. We were also at Wembley when you played for Croatia. We hope you make a full recovery very soon and come back to score again for both of your teams!” - Ivan and Predrag Fabijanic, London

"Hello Eduardo, I want to wish you a speedy recovery! I look forward to seeing you again in the Arsenal shirt and impressing us with your brilliant talent, as you have done since you arrived at Arsenal" - Ståle Wiborg, Norway

“As a pub team player on a Sunday morning you could see how everyone who plays are our level was affected by your injury this week. What was universal was how unfortunate you have been and how, no matter what team people followed, they all were wishing for a safe and complete recovery. Good luck Eduardo. I have always been impressed by you on the pitch and am already being impressed by you on road to recovery” - Ralph Loveridge

“You must be strong. The fans are behind you, the neutrals are behind you and even your opponents want to see you back on the field soon. Don't rush your comeback - in time, you'll be back. We believe! Best Regards” - Leon, Singapore

“I was at the game- visiting from Tokyo. I could not see the incident well and did not know the extent of its seriousness until I saw it on TV. Now back in Japan I and my co-supporters here are equally heartened by your calm and positive comments; I feel we are yet to see your full potential in the Gunners’ shirt, so we are looking forward to seeing you come back stronger!” - Mika, Tokyo

"Hello Eduardo. I want to wish you a Happy Birthday & a speedy recovery! I also want to tell you that I play football too and I scored a goal yesterday and I devoted the goal to you! I know that you we will be back to score beautiful goals like you did! Arsenal will win the Premier League & Champions League for you! Greetings from Rotterdam. ARSENAL 4EVER! Best wishes from me and also from all of my friends from my native Macedonia!"- Vladimir Tanaskoski

"You came to Arsenal five months ago. We had never heard of you then but you were nothing short of outstanding for Arsenal this season. You are our HERO. All Arsenal fans will be waiting to see you back on the pitch and praying for you. We wish you all the best. Get well soon mate" - Leo, India

"I want to send you my best wishes for a speedy and complete recovery. Keep up with the positive thinking, and if you are feeling down, just remember how loved you are across the world. You will come back to us stronger, I know it ! See you soon at Emirates" - Celine Begley, Ireland

"Eduardo, you are in our thoughts and prayers. We look forward to seeing you back in your Arsenal strip again. Wishing you a speedy and full recovery" - Campbell & Ann Finnie, Galway, Ireland
Now from a Man U fan o!
"Hi Eduardo. I am a Manchester United fan and am truly saddened by your injury. Get better soon. I will miss not having you at Old Trafford in a couple of weeks as I love seeing the best players there. You are one of them" - Dom, Manchester

"Dudu, I'll miss your goals and skills but I know you'll be back better than ever. Best wishes!" - Slaven Kontic, Bosnia & Herzegovina

"Hey Eduardo. All I can say is that you are world class and that I hope to see you play for Arsenal again, hopefully this year if not next year. Keep believing that you can play again and I am sure you will. I will pray for your speedy recovery.Get well soon" - Jeremy Lobo, India
Yanks too!
"All best wishes for a rapid recovery and a return to the pitch. It will seem like no time until Cesc is playing you through again. Whether for Croatia or Arsenal, you are the personification of "the beautiful game". Godspeed, my friend" - Don Adam, St. Louis, Missouri, USA

"Eduardo, you are one of the best strikers Arsenal has ever had and I am truly devestated by your injury. I was watching the game in Australia and when I saw your team mates' facial expressions I knew something bad had happened to a great player. I wish you all the best on a speedy recovery. I can't wait when you come back to play again, I'm sure it will be soon. Go the Gunners!" - Gianni Zollo, Australia

"Eduardo, I absolutely love watching you play and scoring goals, you are a true inspiration. I hope that your recovery goes well and is completed quickly. Can't wait to see you back on the pitch scoring goals for us. Best Of Luck!" - James Olavesen, Australia

"Rest well. I have no doubt in my mind that you will be back for Arsenal. Smile because there is a whole population of people who are sending you their love. Take each step slowly and NEVER give up. I will always believe in you. I hope come May, you will have the joy Robert Pires once had - he also came back from his injury better than ever!" - Cheyenne Lu, Singapore

"I am a diehard Arsenal fan and was watching the game when you got injured. I knew something was terribly wrong by the look on Fabregas' face... I wish you a speedy recovery and I am sure your team-mates are more determined than ever now to win the league for you." - Akil Jelani, Trinidad & Tobago
"
I am with you until you come back! Your injury caused pain but hope the Lord may help you recover as soon as possible. You mercy with Taylor shows how great your soul is and how big your personality is." - Robert Makuta, Kigali, Rwanda
AMEN!!!

Eduardo, get well soon and from all the Gooners on AHH, we wish you a very speedy and permanent recovery: AMEN!
May this be the last injury you ever have in your life: AMEN!!!

Barstool, lol....you're funny that post i replied to didn't state anything about Eduardo, all it talked about was Arsenal players aren't being protected and you went as far as to talk about Hleb's legs and shit...ok cool
Who gives a fuck about that? Last i checked Gallas (your capt...and supposed leader) was kicking Nani, did anyone say shit? Did anyone complain? NO... So don't try and play victim, the cleanest team in the league is United when last you hear a United player got a red card...lol i won't even start.. as far as Eduardo the time for pity has come and gone i mean, life goes on, after all its not like his leg is gonna be amputated, they said he's gonna be back in 9 months, so wait it out and stop crying like a baby. We haven't Neville this season, Park JUST came back, we coped with it, the thing the Arsenal squad lacks depth, thats why its such a big deal for you fans...

SO CRY ME A RIVER...LOL AND HAPPY GUNNIN

The second half just began and we are still dominating the game. The penalty we should have been given for that tackle on Hleb in the first half annoyed me more because the ref in his lunacy gave Hleb a card for diving!
Wait o...Senderos almost scored!

I'll be back...after the game

Eboue too nearly scored...Milan ga wun!

History 101

1. No English side has ever won at the San Siro, Manu were there and they were beaten.
2. 2 goals in 6 minutes. (Courtesy of Fab. and Ade)

By the power bestowed upon me as a true gunner fan I now pronounce them as "The History Boys".
