no probs... in my opinion kyt, i thought it was a pretty even game were both teams missed a lot of chances and apparently UTD took up more than Arsenal, hence they won, and thanks for the props, like i said u and NII are the only ones i respect in this thread, as for your team, like i said Wenger has to break bank, he just has to... Fergie is even talkin of signing more this summer, so y'all come prepared next year and to the lames in here, you're invited to our double winning Trophy party

i dont mean to gloat but this is a classic case of "he who laughs last laughs best".ordinarily,i'm a fan of good football over and above club affinity or loyalty.i usually enjoy and appreciate the plays and the players-until the begining of this season.
my friends -who happen to be predominantly Chelsea and Arsenal fans- bin no gree make i hear word.they were so sure Man.Utd wasnt going to fare well in the league or in Europe.i kept telling em fellas it was too early(this was barely a two months into the season)to predict the outcome of the 8-9month competition.all my attempts @ rationalizing with them wer rebuffed with obviously jaundiced and biased statements-to the effect that Man.Utd wasnt in the reckoning for any silverware.
if only for all the times i had to put up with the asinine and uninformed commentaries on soccer by Arsenal and Chelsea fans,i live for and revel in the present torture of all Arsenal and Chelsea fans    .

...and it still aint personal :P .

@barstool..hahahau call tht a dick ride wen i was jus tryna appreciate gud football?take a look @ most of arsenal matches..we have poor finishing.i mean we jus cnt hold on to a score or a game.the same happened to our premiership n cl hopes.we jus cnt hold on n finish a game neatly.either our opponents equalize n take over or a draw.thts wht am talking about..we need to learn how to hold on to a game n stop being complacent.wenger shd fix tht..try put soccer 1st and u will get ma point..peace

Yeah thats where the whole issue of experience comes in. Adebayor has had a great season but I don't think he's the finished article. Needs to learn to be clinical. We missed dudu big time. He would tucked away alot of our chances.

BTW: Villa to the Emirartes next season... :?:
Imagine having Ade, Villa, RVP, Dudu, Walcott, and Vela... I see a lot more goals.
Fabregas as captain in my opinion, or Toure.

Manure are throwing names like Berbatov and Daniel Alvez about. That is pretty scary.... NOT 8)

Chelsea throwing names like Kaka and Messi about. Kaka- maybe, Messi - I think not!

Arsenal Bidding For Madrid Ace Daniel Parejo

The 19-year-old caught the eye of the Wenger during last yearâ??s under-19 European Championships and was subject to Arsenal interest in the winter. Wenger is thought to be prepared to spend £11 million on bringing the Castilla star to the Emirates Stadium. Arsenal have previously succeeded in enticing notable young talent away from their original clubs, most obviously in the case of Cesc Fabregas. While being flattered at his comparisons with the ex-Barcelona midfielder, Parejo is reluctant to leave his hometown club. The player is adamant that he will bide his time and wait to break into the Madrid first team. He said: "For me, it is a compliment that such an important European team is showing interest. I have heard rumours but my intention is very clear - my dream is to succeed in Madrid. "Nobody dislikes something like that [being compared to Cesc Fabregas] but I prefer to look in the mirror and see Raul, Guti and Iker Casillas, three footballers who have come out of this youth system and have gone on to triumph in Madrid. I am young and I have patience."

The future of Obafemi Martins appears increasingly uncertain following reports that Arsenal have revived their interest in the Newcastle United strikerâ?¦ Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is a long-time admirer of Martins and has been linked consistently with a move for the Nigerian international over the past two seasons. The time could not be riper for the Frenchman to seal a deal, as his squad would be alarmingly bereft of firepower should Emmanuel Adebayor succumb to the advances of AC Milan. But The Sun reports Magpies are demanding 15million for the 23-year-old a price Wenger is not prepared to match. Meanwhile, the former Internazionale hitman has grown weary of the constant speculation surrounding his future, having also been linked with Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Barcelona. A source close to Martins said: Oba just doesnt know whats going on any more.He loves the Toon fans so much but one minute Newcastle are desperate for him to stay, the next they are trying to sell him. But he would love to play for Arsene Wenger.

Me I dunno about Martins o! But if he is REALLY 23yrs old, then its a good signing. But 15Mill, ah ah haba, thats too extreme for him. At most 8Mill for. Newcastle are funny for placing that type of money on his head. Wenger is an Ijebu man, like they haven't heard.

After beating Man U and Wigan, losing to Aston Villa is about all I can take. I'm FUCKIN sick and tired of winning nothing.
I'm still a gunner but I bet I'm not the only Gunner tired of this!

Feel your pain. The difference btw success and almost !!! is consistency. Kinda saw this coming when prof. AW did get a replacement for Flamini(Yaya Toure, Kompany, Alonso). Never got a CB but went to got Silvestre. I'd rather have Senderos in there! The way things are going Fabregas will be gone and Ade. He better not break up the Carling Cup team. Cos if he keeps that team together the only way is up. As for our 1st team he better get some steel in January at the back and the middle. Gallas is not a driving force like Tony Adams was. He is a deterrant IMO. People are getting too comfortable thinking their places are guaranteed i.e RVP, Ade and Fabregas. The need a kick up the ass. The likes of Ramsey should be thrown in. These guys are hungry to impress. I don't see the burning desire to win trophies in our 1st team and in our play. Honestly looking forward more to the next Carling cup game than Premiership or CL. Cos right now what I see aint good enough. Any team can come to us and get maximum points?? Not the arsenal way! AW needs to be less stubborn as well cos wat people are saying are right and clearly so.

Come on you Gunners.

Seems to me that liverpool have transfered their inconsistency to arsenal. I still got the gunners on my back though. I think they need just 2 or 3 high profile signings, yaya toure for example to solve my defensive needs. Wenger needs to pump a few million into the team. We got talent but the will is missing. If they can play with the type of devotion they had against manu, theyll even win the world cup!!
I still love my club though, cause i love the style of football and as far as that doesnt change, then im a gunner.
