"The staff of Gallo Record Company are devastated by the news of the tragic passing of reggae legend Lucky Dube. Lucky was slain in an attempted hijacking in Rosettenville in Johannesburg last night, at approximately 8pm, whilst dropping off his children at a family members house. Although Lucky attempted to escape the scene, he had been fatally wounded from the hijacker’s attempt to steal his motor vehicle, and he died almost instantly."

damn another senseless killing...

man it was really hard for me to believe lucky was gone..for a moment i thought it was some kinda dream..u knw, like some lion chasing u in a sleep and u scream only to see it's nothing compared to reality..but this was too real
I actually thought of sampling one of his records and to ma utmost dismay his soul was already gone..

But i know one thing for sure..luck sed in one of his songs something like "u'll die the day i die"...i guess
what goes around certainly come around..u take ur brother's life for whatever reason..definitely yours would be taken and u would wish they had a reason for doing so...

Oh Lucky ..Return If Possible...

peace...

when I heard about Lucky's passing, I was heart broken. I am not a big fan of raggae but the man was good. His songs had a message and now, what is going to happen?

It breaks my heart how people can do something like this? In our own country? How can this be happening? How are we supposed to grow as a nation when other people keep commiting this sordid crime? We complain about racism and stuff but our own people are killing each other. How are we supposed to move forward.

This whole situation makes me mad and right now I feel like screaming.

REST IN PEACE LUCKY DUBE, WE REALLY WHERE LUCKY TO HAVE YOU IN THIS WORLD.

MUCH LOVE

PEACE
