good to know you're learning the rules of naming threads, but shouldn't it be called "THE AHH.COM MIXTAPE, The Nigerian collection" instead?

first off, i want to say every thing written below is my personal opinion not a recomnedation or a compulsory thing[not like i have any authority over you guys :) ] just thoughts that popped up as i was listening to them beats
i had to keep reminding myself that this was not my personal effort cos i feel like busting on every beat damn!!!!
didnt know such fire could come out from naija[hip hop wise] and it's crazy that this mixtape is going to be free that'd put this board on the map cos everybody is going to want to listen to a free CD
talking about CD's i dont, Zero would it be possible for this thing to be on compact disc? even though it's not for sale and all but i mean i'd like to have a final copy to vibe to. hear all the tight MCs on this board plus my self[hopefully] would be the BOMB!!!
i mean the producers have put a mountain to the lyricists and i know we can def climb it
BTW* i think we should leave the name as the AHH mixtape no need for the nigeria or whatever[just my thought dont trip :? ]

i think "hip hop love" should be like an intro, skit or interlude not a full track just like maybe a minute where somebody can rip it in one long ill verse.

"winds of change" should be like a kind of story bout the growth of AHH prolly done by one of the vets amongst the oldest members on the board and should center around what we been doing here how we keeping it reel and how we plan on changing the face of naija hip hop music by bringing our forumers into realtime music ........we be bringing the winds of change. 8)

mixtape material [might be the one i'd bust on] makes me want to go all poetic, metaphysical and canibus-like.

"rock the floor" should be for the boyz who can get it jumping in the club. we all know what should and can be done on this one.

"this empire will not fall".....that beat is tight but i think maybe it should be a little faster with more punch in the bass line let it give room for a vicious out pouring of lyrics...let a brother get angry on the track

"wrestling romance" had that laid back feel but still gives room for a sick delivery one can get grimey on this beat but no need to stress your self jsut flow with the beat and tie it up into one big ball of punchlines HA! :D

"im ready to leave" should close it off [dunno if we might get other beats] i dont know but this sound like the perfect round up to me a real closer.

rage aginast self" sounds like a "new york gangsta", nas kind of "streets is grimey" feel to it. maybe a diss track? :?:

"one time"! thats the floss out track mayne all swagger and attitude no need for tight lyrics on this one, the beats already done the job just sound like the game or cassidy and it's a wrap :!:

"jjg"[ i dont presume thats the real title is it?] for the heads you know, with a lot of mad scrathces here and there, djs ripping it, sample a few lines from some hip hop legends and you have history in the making boyz and girls. reminds me of ras kass' "golden child"

"i dont need words" will be a big challenge, hard to flip to that one. to me it sounds like what jigga would have a good time with all them multis just pouring out you know waht i mean fellaz.

on the whole this is beyond impressive and i'd def like to get a spot on this.....DAYUM!!!
this has got to work, no way we letting this die.

yeah...we'd prolly ,make it that...up until now, i'd not made up my mind on whether to keep it jus naija or across the board...i guess we'd stick to naija for now...that as it is, is a handful already! maybe on the next volume we'd go across the board.

-now u know how i felt when i started collecting the beats...naija is next!
-as per cd's...ALL the songs as well as the covers (front & back) would be up for download...it would be up to u to get a cd & burn.
-i'm feeling "hip hop love" too much for it to be an intro...except its a looong intro...but eventually sha if more people think it should be an intro, intro it would be.
-i think i'd let each producer put a concept to his song e.g. westwind made "winds of change" for the innocent people that were lost during the elections...& that's the concept!...some of the beats are self explanatory tho.
-i'm still waiting for a few more beats...so u never know what those would bring!
-i want the "never ending naija cypha" thread...turned into a song...so anyone who can make a beat for that is welcome (i dont think any of the beats so far has its vibe)
-more views/suggestions/feedback are welcome
-and i think here's the point where i say...y'all shouldn't think you'd get the mixtape tomorrow...or next week...cos we aint even gotten to the hard part yet!!! with that been said this ish has got to work! cos [obj mode] "ITS A DO OR DIE AFFAIR"[/obj mode] L  L

well i guess i gots to look for a CD burner and buy like 100hours at the cafe to burn my copy...but nothing spoil sha

i said intro for "hip hop lov" because it has to be straight fire just one tight MC ripping the isht like a hungry dawg would a steak and if handled well would be a tight opener for the mixtape......no shaking anywhich way na way as long as the guy/s[or do we have galz up in here :? ] wey go bust nor go ufck up o :!:

yes i agree it'd be a better idea for the producers to come up with concepts so we dont have a clash of ideas or we could rub minds and come to common ground as to what the tracks should be centered around

as for the naija cypher-that'd be a tough one. are suggesting the entire cypher be transformed to audio or soemthing fresh and similar but not as long as the cypher itself?

 .................man y'all got me excited over this Teckzilla, Rae, Westwind, Apperntice.........man dem beats are off d chain.......i'm still bumping em loud in my room.

@ Nurudeen: the concepts u have for all d beats are on point, though i agree with Zero, i don't think "Hip hop love" should be an intro......it definately needs an ill emcee to rip it. thanx for d tip on "The empire" beat..believe me, i tried speeding it up.......it just doesn't have d same triumphant effect.......

anyway, can't wait for d outcome of this project............pls, pls, pls, to all emcees................bring d heat on this one!!!!

peace

UPDATE:
-modenine would host the mixtape.
-i've still got a few beats to up but i'm keeping those as a contingency plan in case some of the main stream producers don't deliver.
-we're lookin @ 18-20 tracks
