What are your thoughts on cross-cultural dating/marriage etc?

A friend of a friend of mine eloped in order to marry a white guy because her parents weren't too sparked about the idea of having a white guy for a son-in-law. I think that's racism, personally. But then again, there's the idea of culture clashes and stuff, so maybe we should stick to our own kind. I dunno. But I wouldn't say it was wrong, as such.
