Revolutionary Greetings in the name of Her/His Infinite Power Helping Oppressed People!
As some of you probably heard, AFAR, a Hiphop outfit based in Atlanta, U.S.A., is touring Zimbabwe, with an H-town Concert tentatively set for the 6th of December. The group has a live band and would like to workshop with Zim Emcees the morning and afternoon before the evening show. I've been requested to compile a guest list for the artsistes by the Cultural Section of the US Embassy which is facilitating their visit. The theme of their tour is unity and education. If you would like to be part of the guest list please just reply to this post with your details; name, alias, contact details and so forth.
We are the hosts. Lets Represent.
Peace

1stly, soz broz 4 not gettin' back but what basically happened iz that i wanted to send all y'all details to the organizers on tym but i got the replies late. see, i was going to the D.R.C for hiphop performances n workshops with ma crew the Toyi Toyi Artz Kollektive. i jus got in yesternight n' i missed the workshop n the show coz there were flight delays.i was actually supposed to get in the day b4 yesterday.
2ndly, from what i hear 'bout what went down at the workshop n the show it doesn't sound lyk the local hiphop heads got the space n tym to represent wha-a-gwan here. in the end we weren't the hosts. i think this is f*d up. the organisers shouldn't have brot in groups that dont practice hiphop n supplant the local hiphop community. this misrepresents the local culture. the group AFAR itself appears arrogant if they will workshop with heads n not perform with them. what's the purpose then?
lemme know how u felt 'bout the whole thing. But on tha real i'm very sorry 4 ma absence. the D.R.C . thing just came up. i will b uploadin' some stuff soon 'bout our trip. But y'all keep your headz up.
Peace
