Sorry everyone 4 keeping away for so long(i'm presently doin' my 2nd semester exams) hope ya'll like this though.I'm back n aint going nowhere no more.feel this.

A Pen Writes,
From Left to Right, From Dawn to Night
The Burden Of a Poet blessed with 3rd-Eye Sight
Whom peers at Whats Left
Trying to set things Aright
Cos Fools need "Two Brains" to 'Think Twice'
About Green & ICe That make the warmth of a soul turn Cold
Souls, Gone, Sold, Will Truce Unfold?
Are we all strung like Puppets ?
& Life's Like Gepetto?
So when things go wrong do we go on to Blame the Devil?
Cos we're not done creating new eras in the making
Took a Brush with Greed & Lust Till Karma becomes the Painting
God gave us the palette, Some see a Rubik's Cube
Confusing Dudes, Lack Solutions to the World we Mentally Fued
So why do we write???
Hold Up, Big Fish in a little pond
swimming round town thinking like we're already stars
and they say that money change you
but money dont change u
its just makes u more of what u already are....

i write because theres so much that is unsaid
the collection of the most intelect is the abode of the dead
knowledge left untapped ideas never seen the light of day
while the sun shines i write~its more pleasant than a roll in the hay

I write to clear my back
strapped with the wrongs of yesterday
to undo and pretell my children
yet to come,
not to lie on my grave and moan
on that day when I am gone
but to caress the pages of my mind
like it were an embrace of life
embedded in the womb of my thoughts
that began when the pen moved
from left to right
when I could not sleep at night
flip through, remember me as words
not soil.

I write to know my life
from left to right
my pen's ink is never blunt
from left to write
my wishes,dreams n hope abide

I write to exercise my rights
democracy...a fallacy?
I write to express my soul
not my fault when words
come out cold...

I write to calm the pain
And all the feelings hidden when I vocally explain.
Even though the feeling exposed is not of absolute truth,
You have a picture of how the dome of thought might have fallen;
How it’s architecture might have been mastered;
Rather than gulping the glimpse of how it actually is.
Poets exaggerate.
Yeah! Yeah! Yeah!
Who doesn’t know?
But at least the small scar on my forehead is felt.
And your heart, when I'm bleeding, melts.
As I portray my thoughts like the river Nile,
You may think I ain’t focused.
Hahaha
I’m not loughing,
It’s just that I‘ve been dwelling all over
Down the bush and in the mist
I’ve been thirsty for knowledge that I couldn’t reach
In the desert, back into the forest until I reach sea
In realty and beyond where only my mind can see
That’s the reason why I write, I hope that you see

Nice Enigma.

Might as well join in...short and sweet...hopefully

I write to discover poetic boats and flippers
that carry life across streams of thoughtful rivers...
rivers that breathe life into lifeless passages
bringing destruction to iterations of the brainwash prophesy
writing to teach that a black man's life is more than weed and hennesy

Jus enjoyed the whole flow and deepness attached to this thread's posts, props to all you people!

Word!
Eish, been missing this forum.
All the Why i Write pieces were too ill, every1 shud express on here.
Thought this would be a gud place to land, to understand why i write before i write.
One!

i write to pour my heart out right
i write to free my mind
let it wonder into realms unknown
why i write is known by me alone
ive tried not to write at all
take the force of gravity off my pen
but the words bleed out with force and pressure
with a pencil write at work or leasure.
i breathe in with my ears
filter all that comes
id drown in my mind and heart if i
didnt breathe out through my hand.
God said "Let there be light", and there was light. I am the light of the world.

I RIGHT (write),simply to release the emotions LEFT,
swiveling in my mind, desighned to keep me on my quest....
I exhale words, and feel freedom like uncaged birds,
Release Verbs from my mind uncomprehensive, unherd....
to please me....NOt You...
I write for me.
For this pen keeps me sane..... and Not You.

Nonsense I speak, it seems, to those who cant relate,
Who forget A Man's Poison, is another mans Cake
I may seem a fool mith my words, to your eyes....
But you forget all Great fools in history were WISE...
I write.......
I speak precision & Carve wonderz to the ears that'll listen...

:o Oh My God! Bravo My Fellow poets,....Men i actually thought peeps werent gonna respond @ 1st but now I feel Poetically Flattered.Excellent Pieces from everyone.I really mean that.

Let Me tell u why I write......

I Write B'cos.....
I'm trapped, in my head, But with this pen I find Freedom
Its an Exquisite feelin
Shackles of Frustation preventin from speakin
Its the only way i can Project these thoughts, glad or enraged
On days 'bottled emotions' tipped and spilled on a page

I write with a Thought that,... at least one soul would read
and follow my words, as this piece was meant to lead
Feed, Plead, "Please I wont write what u want"
"I'll write what u need"
To Free a curious soul as thy pen has freed thee.........1
Hold Up, Big Fish in a little pond
swimming round town thinking like we're already stars
and they say that money change you
but money dont change u
its just makes u more of what u already are....

HAVEN'T POSTED ANYTHING IN A WYL, BUT THIS THREAD
CALLED ME BY NAME......

HERE'S A LI'L FREE-STYLE INSPIRED BY ALL YA'LL.

I WRITE.....

I write to bold the whispers in my soul,
To unfold the untold mysteries of my mind.
I clunch unto my pen to ink a betta day and
To paint stars on the pad of my night.

I write to right my and your wrongs.
To escape from or dwell into the going-ons.
My pen is my life-line, my anchor.
Without my pen i would stumble and fall.
But with it i stand firm and tall.

I write to answer to my call.
Pen, ink and pad, for u i was born!

I'M WORD ENGRAVED IN DA BELLIES OF CAVES. I'M WISDOM SPREAD ON A PAGE. MY THOTS ARE ELEVATED AND I AM UNCAGED..........

feelin' it. may I join in...

I write (right) to undo wrongs of the past,
to fight, ignite lite and
to give birth to songs that will last,
words I spell on paper to uncast spells
tell ancient and oncomin' tales,
leave spineless cowards like harmless puppies,
tails between their legs.
I write to remind my people that once upon a time we were kings
time has come to return to our trhown
