Very tough question coz zim is full of ill cats. Trust me i know. Had a studio in harare and all kinds of cats used to come through, some whack but most ill. My honest opinion is as follows.

Munetsi - dude is on anotha level , you can easily tell he got passion for tha art , serious n knows what he doin.you need all that in an artist , plus he got rhymes

I'll agree with the fact that Kingpin was the illest of his time. but for one to say that he's the illest NOW...at this very present moment i think may be a bit of a misconception. A lotta people prefer his style because of what he chose to express. I know he was a very concious emcee, had everything in persepective, but not all rappers are comparable, especially these days when people ask whos the best rapper in zim. I think we might just have to break it down into categories and crown emcee's to their style.

as a "revolutinary" fan you'd say Kingpin.

as a big shona fanatic you might say Maskiri or Stunna

ive combed thru the current underground scene and i'd say that "Emcee Cheeta" just might be the best emcee in zim at the moment. from what ive heard.
