Where is Gidi Gidi Maji Maji from... I entered some competition and I was supposed to get their cd cos I won... It was some debate competition where I had to be against African hip hop being classified under WORLD MUSIC in music shops... but anyway i never got it... must have been lost in the mail....

I'm really feeling Kingpinn's song... I salute you....I play it everyday when I wake...

Who else...? some more emcees?

for sure that sounds like something i really think there needs to be more exposure of the zim undergroung because the cats who are carrying the flag on the flip side of things the commercial dont even start to resemble the real undiscovered or unpublicised talent.

thank you so much, i will let you know how to get that dvd to me. get at me.... tastic321@yahoo.com

yo, this thing is going to be hot. i really want to put Africa on the map. i brought my boy Shakil to Bamako, Mali to perform. he turned it out. all of the rappers from Mali came out to give respect and i was surprised to see that Africa had a rap scene. Mali was hot, but then i heard that other countries in Africa was even more live. it's a whole new world of hiphop. i want to capture the essence and bring it back to the states. i'm telling you. this DVD is going to get major distrubution. the buzz on African hiphop will be louder than a bomb. i need yall help on this one. my possible sponsors are in the industry. i sold them on the idea, they just want me to set it up. i want to add Zimbabwe, because what i hear, yall might be the best.

i want to capture the essence of the hiphop culture in Zimbabwe. i want to know the fashion styles, the sneakers, gear people are wearing. the brands they like. the dances, graffiti, any and everything that is hiphop about Zimbabwe i want to shoot in this documentary. I want to put a bigger light on the hiphop scene in Africa. i know for a fact that the emcees in Africa are just as good as the emcees in the states. i believe that yall have better lyrical content in africa though. yall might mess around and raise the bar for the emcees in the states. let's do this thing.

I definitely feel Nomad's idea. All i will say is that your eye is not lost if it's looking at Zim.Despite all the negative stuff that's been working against the growth and exposure of Zim Hip Hop, the depth and realness of the culture has just been increased.Only problem is that for people that are outside it's difficult to see 'coz the scene as it stands right now is REALLY UNDERGROUND.But thank God for ideas like yours man the advent of the Zim voice is here.
You will not be dissapointed.
And if i may prophesy on here,...Zimbabwe is the next big thing on the continental scene. Our story is one the world needs to hear.
Aluta Continua Zim Hip hop!

I am getting mad love from Zimbabwe and that's a beautiful thing. South Africa is showing me bad love as well. i need help coming up with travel routes.

my plan is to fly into Capetown shoot them first. take the train into Johannesburg to shoot them second. fly into Zimbabwe or is it better to take a train? i will be traveling on a very small budget. it seems that i may have to spend my own money if i don't get the funding that i need. another question that i have is... can i fly into Dakar, Senegal from Zimbabwe? i am trying to feel my way around the situation. if anyone have any ideas let me know.

this is funny. i've been telling cats over here that Africa Hip Hop is liver than it is in the states and they are not trying to hear it. I let them hear some hip hop from South Africa and it raised their eyebrows. they didn't know what to say. someone in South Africa sent me a link to some South African Hip Hop groups it was hot. I know Zimbabwe artists are just as hot. i can't wait to get there to start shooting. Hip Hop will never be the same in the states once this documentary hits the streets over here. i know record companies over here are going to be breaking their necks to get over here to sign some artists. that's my word.

please help me make it happen.... by the way. my website should be up in like a month. once the website is up, i will be getting in contact with more people on a more professional level. right now, i am doing my research. like i said, help me help you... peace and love
