i would've thought that by now this argument about whos the best in rap and whose not would be buried apparently by simple reasoning; like 5th said, there's no best rapper, there are a host of great rappers living dawg, as much as i respect RAKIM, u cant call him the best mc, nope, not when theres rappers like TALIB KWELI, COMMON, SCARFACE still there, on that note too, as fu.cking dope as i think these pple are though, i cant ignore the lyrical expertise of peeps like MASTA ACE, CANIBUS(oustanding mc), IMMORTAL TECHNIQUE, CHINO XL, EMINEM, JAY-Z(please dont start cos u'll loose), NAS, KOOL G RAP, KRS-ONE, BLACK THOUGHT, MOS DEF, yo G, the list is endless, too many dope ass rappers, and they deserve their places in rap history. for me, there is a sensible top 20 greatest rappers.

the emcee that i personally think is the illest is without a doubt Talib Kweli. dude says something in his raps which is something a lotta 'emcees' seem to forget. but Nas is one of my all time gr8st and Lupe on some deep levels as well.
