after tupac passed...REAL hip-hop from mainstream went with him... cause all these rappers these days...ja rule and em... rap about nothin at all...the only person holdin it down in mainstream hip-hop fa real is NAS...Eminem. there is none other. there are probs. around the world and youre gna rap about bitches and hoes throughout your songs in ur album?? come on now!!! so this is what i say...

All these rappers babblin about nothin at all~heavily contributing to the black races' downfall~I write rhymes to provoke and ignite thoughts~that wont leave your mind frail and distraught~
you see the strife and need to write about it but the ones who need to hear aren't here to hear it~ so you clear it from your spirits~knowing the lyrics are too deep to fear its clearance sales~ cuz appearance sells~and capital cities seek service~from servants~giving up their dignity just to serve a purpose~and earn ~so they go home and curse it~ behind the backs of these worshipped serpants~and hide inside their homes constantly feeling nervous~searching their yellow stained curtains~wondering if and where it's lurking...~constantly rappin about bitches and hoes~ur wack flows and all ur clothes~realistically youre steppin on your own toes~album after album...no sign of growth~case closed...

not finished yet.

AND!!!!!....2pac was not an EMCEE, he was a RAPPER!! The difference is that one uses HipHop to make money, the other does HIPHOP for HIPHOP;

AND....i dare say the 2pac was one of the most commercial rappers. Whats my reason? = there are some people who love 2pac who dont know shit about HIPHOP; My point is that he made it mainstream.

One love, im not startin no beef

I THINK YOU'RE ON POINT WITH YOUR MESSAGE, BUT I ALSO DIG PAC. SOMEONE SAID THAT THERE ARE ALSO TRUE LYRICISTS OUT THERE WHO DON'T WANNA BE FAMOUS. I REALLY BELIEVE THAT. CHECK OUT MY HOMEGROWN LYRIC AND BE HONEST

let the sun shine
and run em all back in they cave
and raise the king
out the pyramid grave
but you don't hear me though
maybe I should be sayin' it slow
from one race
all the other ones grow
I ain't hatin'
but I'm statin' undisputable fact
the whole world hate a nigga
cause the world is black
now back the fuck back
and let a nigga just say what he must
pull my mic
and my 9 gon' bust
all in ya judas ass
I ain't gotta make my money wit' rap
pimp hoes play ball or sell the bass heads crack
shit [cool]
do what you do
cause I ain't givin' a fuck
but watch ya back
and don't get locked up
too many of us gone
back home to the dirt and the mud
give it up
and show ya people some love
and duck a hater when you see em
fuck the shit that he talk
cause it take a bigger man to walk
and let a stupid motha fucka live
you got alotta life left in ya soul
don't wanna spend it doin' time it the hole
but you don't feel me though
[the popo's know they neanderthals
out the european caves writin' shit on the walls
boy]
they just jealous of the past that we had
as the nation of khemet so they treatin' us bad
see
before the slave ship we was the shit
and we was beatin' muthafuckas wit' whips
and wrote books
about shit like mappin' the stars
so we could look up in the sky at night and know where we are
and build the pyramids
and we put em all over the world
the people with black skin
flat nose hair curled
check
we the ones that the world should love
wouldn't be here if it wasn't for us
we can travel thru space
and Imma take yo ass back in time
thru the latest archeological finds
over in ethiopia
they found and reconstructed the face
of a nigga of the african race
and I bet they was shocked
to see a nigga witta head like a rock
like the ones that you see on the block
instead of a monkey lookin' fool
was just a regular dude
neanderthal way ugly
brother man way cool
cause brother man is the oldest
that they ever had found
they dug em up
from the african ground
[and the neanderthal was in europe
inbred and sick
I'm not descendant from a monkey
but you might be bitch]
.

Yeah i feel you too! BUT i think Tupac was a fine wordsmith, he was a poet for real and his shit is still alive today, and even as thugged out as Tupac was, he was quite motivational if u actually listen to sum of his stuff like Keep ya head up etc, I think Tupac is/was off the hook for real. As for Real hip-hop, yeah i wanna listen to shit thats saying sumthng to me, im not tryna hear bout how much cash u got, how many platinum chains or rings or how u drink hennessy and remi. I want to listen to music with meaning, like Kweli,Common, The Roots, Mos Def, Masta Ace, i could go on and on, the truth is there are so many talented mc's all over the world (especially in my country-SOUTH AFRICA) mc's that speak to u!!!I'm glad that there are actually ppl like the brotha i quoted who appreciate the more conscious side of hip-hop and can stand their ground!!PEACE

sorry bro but i think you may have been mistaken but tupac was an emcee before he even went to be commercial and therefore end up being labeled a gangsta or rapper. remember that he was with digital underground who in that day and time were considered emcees, when money was not the focus of hiphop. he structured his art and perfected it before corporate america really got involved in hiphop. just listen to his ealiest work and you can see he was a emcee in definition. don't let the late coming fans of his redefine his image for you based on their fascination with him by callin him a rapper for true die hard fans know he was and still is an emcee its just that he blew up unilke many real mcee

EMCEE - derived from M.C(Master of Ceremony) - everyone who holds a mic & controls a set is an emcee. He might be able to rap or not.

RAPPER - Someone who raps. Can also be an emcee.

Both these peeps may or may not charge money for their services. That is what makes them commercial (collecting money or peforming with the aim of gettin richer)

Mainstream artists are those who are saying what the masses love to hear because most either don't spit reality or hide the message and thus you don't even know what they really mean or stand for just that you like how they sound. Kinda how Sean Paul is right now. Peeps just like how he sounds not knowin wut da fokk he sayin.

At the end of the day judge only yorself and if you ain't feelin som emcee or rapper then leave his music alone. He didn't beg u to cop it or listen.

Don't burn his ish either.
