Bona la bafwethu. I am currently at UKZN, studying, en we have this hiphop evening on thursdays but the problem is, it's always the same kats doin' something. Now I know that there are many more Mcs round here but they rhyme in closets en shit. Question: How do i get cats to come out??????

Point two: I like makin' beats, truth is I only use fruity loops en I sample quit a lot. Is that type of shit illegal? By the way if any one of ya'll has matered Reason (the beat making software) can u tell me how I import samples on to it?

Moja Arithmetic, mina personally i think you can't make a kat spit in a cypher or whatever you'll are holding down during those thursday nights if they don't want to, i have experienced that at the terminals at workshop on fridays, everyday its the same kats spitting. what i think sometimes makes kats stay in their closets is the cyphers that we have created today are not for anyone to spit in, meaning nowadays hip hop sessions belong to someone, you basically have to know someone in order to be heard. Another thing is kats are quick to judge, once you spit in a cypha they be like "you whack". Up and coming mcs dont like that, thats why you sometimes find that there are about 30 heads in a cypha but only five are spitting, not that the other 25 are whack or anything, they do want to spit but feel that kats are going to judge.

there is only one thing we can do to try and make ppl rhyme in our hip hop sessions, let everyone spit whether its prewritten or freestyle it doesn't matter, word passes do alot of elevation. Show love to a kat whether he is whack or tight coz we all started somewhere.

'sup logic..r u in Howard college? That's where I'm @ & we used to have tight sessions 'round here way back when cats like Mic G, GunHo etc were still around..the sessions were so hot even cats like Raheem, Paperkut & Zuluboy used to come thru..but that was in '03 while I was still i-Fresha, this campus has since been hijacked by House Dj's and hiphop faded out..hell the whole of last year there wasn't even one hiphop gig...so where do u hold your sessions? I'll be sure to check them out....
