For me Tumi and the Volume are straight rippin, or Cashless to ,plus Hymphetic, but Tumi rips, legend in the makin.
Perhaps we should not have encouraged
them to use cordless microphones,
for they have walked too far from the
source and are emitting a lesser frequency

the problem with that question is that some of the cats who deserve legendary status either dont have albums out, some went out of the game when confusion started to reign, some are still around but not hitting the mainstream as a part of the culture has become and the fact that the game hasnt reached that level or rather there hasnt been a continous solid contribution from heads for them to deserve legendary status. and also before we can look at a new breed we need to also pay homage to the cats thatz been doing it for a minute whether lengendary or just old jack or rhyme vet.
nonetheless i will mention some cats who are really hardcore with this.
top of list: P.O.C cause no matter who you is these cats put in work in term's of that real undiluted sound and pro-revolutionary stance for mad years.
AudioVisual
Robo the Technician
Shorty Skillz (formerly of Township Frequency now his with Witchcraft)
Hymphatic Thabs
Bravestar (formerly of Electronz)
and last but not least - Basemental Platform (BMP) - these cats been doing the rounds in the underworld for minute...
off cause there's been other cats or the are but mostly they finding their feet now and only time will tell in terms of their contribution to the game and how consistent cats are with their music, most importantly hip-hop music (we appreciate all genre's of music in their true form cause lets face it guys as much as we are south african and we love kwaitto we cant be making kwaitto into hip-hop or vice versa) (like brown bread that taste's like white bread - all good for innovation but it's not organic - the same way Ihashi Elimhlophe is not Hip-Hop and in certain instances using vernac does not make you kwaitto)
even the above mentioned cats (except for P.O.C) need to still put in mad work if they are truly to be recognised as legends cause the landscape of the culture has changed drastically and very few if any of the heads who caught up recently (which is most of the cats claiming hip-hop right now) have a strong grounding in the movement that came before the media-hype.
some other crews/mc's who are ill or have been (depending on when you jumped on the wagon - Database(a crew that Phatboy now known as Tumi used to be part of)
Deliquent Lads
Bhubesi
Witchcraft
Archetypes
Writerz Block
Distant Cousinz
SOME of the cats from Assylum Trybe got style
Rainbow of "HeadzRock" got flava
Soulah System is coming up slowly
and a gang of catz i cant remember of the top of the dome that have been or are still coming through. the key is consistency - in hip-hop.

Tumi and the volume are in a league of their own. They set new bonderies to Hip Hop and have added what i like call Shweetnes Flava to the game.Prokid is blowing up big time in the game.Big up to Hype For being the the pillar of Strength to Hip Hop and making sure people get the respsct they deserve.HHP is a King Pin in the making that cat is skilled. :P
