Language does not have anything to do with how you measure an emcee's abilities.Hiphop is poetry, and unless you're saying that one cannot be creative in their own language,l think anyone can express themselves in any way they like. What we measure is the delivery and all the other elements that go into making a good verse.

And hey wena Theme. l here you're back.holla via a PM.That idea l had has grown bigger than me, l need help with certain things. And oh,check out the letters page in the Aug/Sept issue of Y-Mag.See if there is a name you recognise.

And to everyone, brace yourselves for an explosive rise of Bulawayo and Zimbabwean Hip Hop next year. This thing will set the course for the future of our music.

H-town is full of ill emcees than Byo...coz them Byo cats mix a whole lotta vernac in their spits...That tends to sicken their raps...anyway....all the same they have chnaces to improve but word up...h-town...Meta will be touring with common in a months time...sorry for the silence been writing my finals.....

takin it from Quod', it aint about what language u spittin in, it’s all
about the content. The massage you out to convey in that language
you spittin in. Besides, these r our languages. They part o who we are.
If we aint gon use em’ then who will? Aint nothing as beautiful as
being able to xpress ya self in ya OWN mother
tongue. If I had it my way I be spittin in vernac,
STRAIGHT UP!!! Unfortunately or rather, embarrassingly, if that’s
the appropriate word to use, like mos MCs, who claim to b
AFRIKAN n’ PROUD, I sadly confess that I cannot even spit a 16 bar,
in vernac.(So much for being black n proud). I am working on it though.

Anyway as already mentioned, the point aint the language u spittin
in, Ndebele, English or Shona, jas bring the real word, there lotta
hungry minds out there.Remember Mau Mau, brother ripped it in
vernac n he was on point. Plus, He touched on real issues; jas don
know w’sup with him now.

BIGG UP TO EVERY MC WHO CAN SPIT IN VERNAC ( Shona or Ndebele)
(as long as u aint on dat power fm MCing kind’a tip”)

Perhaps we should not have encouraged
them to use cordless microphones,
for they have walked too far from the

Love Zim Ganja, Zim Hip-hop, and the whole of Zim as well. However, no wanna be great thinker pussyfied dawgs. The same shit is happenin' here in S.A, got fuckers using big word's, thinkin' they are the greatest underground mcees. Woza ngikutshele, lezinja, think they Pros, just because they rap in English (da Eeenglllliisssshhh), big bombastic word bitches, bayangicika. No beef with English, just beef with this misconception ish- Got some of my lines in English too. Cats must start using the language for true reason- passing the message to the masses- no other fuckin' issues. you ain't gonna be great by using big words. If the message you conceying is wack, it's no use using 'em groot words, just fuckin' stop writting, cos others may puke from readin' that rotten colonised mind set of yours. It's dump, you not gonna become greatest emcees, if you still appliying those senseless wanna be philosopher spits. Fuck it ain't gonna work.

Advice: pick some of the illeterate cats in your hood, team with them or help 'em do that real hip-hop thing (since you have access to morden tech and all it richies). The one so clear to everyone, the one so understandable, the one we can relate to.

Hey wena,l like the image.
lt's noble for one to be patriotic and if there ever was a time that this country needed us to be patriotic, that time is now.Sure there are a lot of things gone wrong in the land, such that it is hard to smell the roses in the middle of a sewage plant. The kak certainly has a stronger smell, but hey you can't change the fact tat you r zimbabean.Nom' ungaz' utshay' Dabulap.
So be proud and take the destiny of our land into your hands.Let's heal it with our hiphop.

Someone answer me. Nigga is prolly the niggest thang outta Zim in this generation. But do ue noe his hometown and ue busy "he-e BYO/HRE this" Utter rubbish. We are one people. Where is the love. Tiri Tose. Sisonke. And an MC is an MC ue represent hu ue are. Drums started in Africa people. AND THOSE HU DID IT 1ST SHOLLY WERE NOT RAPPIN IN ENGLISH!
