CAPE TOWN created him and the world moulded him.


GARRICK SUSPECT has been involved in the Hip Hop world for over twelve years now. He released his first EP “Life on The Streets” in 1993 a four-song journey into the mind of a homeless bum, it was produced by CARAMEL and sold independently on cassette.

The last eight years he has been working behind the scenes in the States, studying the greats and was responsible for giving Black Star their studio time, for putting the bullet hole in the 50 cent CD cover and working on collaborations with Matt Goss of Bros. fame.

With his return to South Africa he has re-established his relationship with CARAMEL, who produced “SHOWBIZ” his first single released on GIMBA RECORDS. The response has been amazing, song of the week on YFM and numerous plays on both 5FM and METROFM.

He has been performing at small capacity clubs in Cape Town, (300 to 500 people) and most recently performed at GOODHOPE FM’s 40th Birthday celebrations.

The PUBLIC OPINION POLL EP was released August 5th, with 1oo copies sold in the first week, (just out of his pockets) G-SUS is proving to be CAPE TOWNS worst kept secret. The GARRICK SUSPECT full-length album will be released in 2006 on GIMBA RECORDS.
