Okay dont draw your guns yet,i know what y'all probalbly thinking.WHAT THE HELL IS THAT RIGHT?? GOSPEL RAP?? Well im sure all you geniuses out there agree that the major backbone of hip hop especially in the emceeing category is creativity, self expression on any given topic. So why not express the state of your faith in rymes.over some nice beats and all, metaphors:the whole lot. Most of us are Christians:i presume and its very obviou :?: s that every1 believes in God at some point or another, although some 4some of us He only exists when things r bad, whilst yet for some it a daily healthy relationship.
I believe. So that makes me a believer.I rap and that also make me a rapper right.
Im fully for the Gospel of God and fully for the Gospel of Hip-HOp.So would it be weird to see a generation of Gospel rappers emerge in this growing industry of ourself??
SOUTH AFRICAN GOSPEL MUSIC SUCKS and most of us as the youth cant relate to ppl like Rebbecca, Lundi and all that other monotonous trash, So this is not only consciousness, its also being spiritual and practicalising our faith making it relevant to the heads who will bother to listen.AMEN. :) Sorry 4 the long sermon & all but That was just sum food 4 thot and Spirit.
So HOLLa Your VIeWS. both positiv and NEgatiV.

whatever. me im not undastanding so il just overstand.

what, may i ask, is your problem? :?
i'll tell you what mine is.this statement stinks, look here my brotha i believe everyone has the right to voice their opinion, but please couldn't you have done it in a more civilised manner?this is okay for something like kwaito or punk rock, this is something that our mothers love and appreciate, not to mention, live on.

all this statement says is that, you are a very angry person who is ruled by his emotions- i am not trying to insult you buT im only telling it like i see it.

if you were much of a listener you'd notice that their voices are actually very different, since they arent the only ones, what are you on about?
the only monotonous thing here is the fact that -like american gospel, R&B(LOVE)- they have one thing to sing about and that's GOD.

i was raised on the likes of amadodana ase wesile, lusanda, rebecca malope, barorisi ba morena, the various zionists etc. they often bring me to tears, meaning they do have an audience, who love and value them since they give us what we want-gospel in vernacular,i dont find it funny, that you find it hard to believe that people listen to them and love them .

for me the only thing that sucks here,my brotha- is your attitude .

DO Y'LL THINK LIFE WOULD BE FUN IF PEOPLE IN THE WORLD TODAY LIVED STRICTLY ACCORDING TO THE BIBLE? NO WEED, ALCOHOL, NO SEX BEFORE MARRIAGE, NO CURSE WORDS ETC. WHAT KIND OF WORLD DO YOU THINK IT WOULD BECOME? y'll just post your opinions? can you imagine 50 CENT doing gospel rap and all his fans carrying Bibles enjoying the gospel. If 50 Cent changed his ways, and did things according to the bible do you think the world would be a much better place today? not just 50 Cent but even the other rappers that advocate that gangsta image. holla back at me!

this issue has two sides to it:
1. if we had never lived the way we do now
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
then everything would for us be very normal, we'd even try
be offended if someone came up with something different,
in other words we'd resist change, then again- change is inevitable.

2. the second case would be things drastically/gradually changed that way
@@@@@@@@@@@@@
here we'd always remember "the good times", unless of course something really bad happened to change things.
we'd find things uncomfortable, almost constricting.until we got used to it and our kids were born into it

man thanks for the interesting spin
much love

i dont mean to be offensive but um...

alota gospbel artists seem ta be mimicing uSisuREBECCA...

as much as yall dont wanna hear this,South African gospbell sounds
too much alike...i mean with every new artist...it's that same REBECA
voice,we dont want to hear that no more...

i give respects ta JOYOUS CELEBRATIONS THOUGH they holding their
own, something fresh,alive...there's alot more talent out there but
not recognised...

that's my opinion...
