1. the anthem thread was posted to the swahili section on the 27th..a day before i proposed the deadline to be the 28th...so we can either extend it another 10 days for them (i.e deadline for emcees to register becomes March 10) or just roll with the original deadline..i say we extend it to see if we can get mo emcees from that section in...but this is just me..what do yall think?
2) seems like so far we have the following emcees:
Sixlames - ??
noooooon- ??
Ill Maestro- ??
Shola - Nigeria
Spyral - ??
M.O.A - Ghana
Akan - Ghana
D.O.P.E - ??
Plan B - Malawi
Stix - Malawi
Marvel - Malawi
if your name is on here and you do not plan on being part of the project
please let us know so that we can move on and start orchestrating the
bars, hooks etc...
also im not sure what country you (emcees) are representing, thus the ??
by your name, so if you could take some time to drop a line in this
forum, J4 and the rest of us will have a better idea on the logistics.
3. I think it has been agreed that the mode of recording will be Acid 4.0?
Forward Always! Backwards No way!
Peace!

1. Ask a few producers to send in or upload a 16 bar loop
2. To avoid stampede, the Africanhiphop crew will short list the beats
3. Make an 8 bar loop of the beat available for download so every one can rap to a standard beat per minute
4. Decide on the specifics of the theme
5. make it available for peeps to download
6. Let emcees spit their shit on the beat and send it over to the Africanhiphop.com crew
7. The Africanhiphop.com crew will do the selection, arrangement and final mixing of the track.
I don't mind doing some of the production work although I am pretty busy now.

and "CHANGE" is the beat some including myself agreed on, but some did say something about using a beat with an African flavor on it, but that could take sometime to customize or even look for one so for now I guess we'll hang with "Change" but if you got one that got some African flavor on it you might want to direct us to it, it might be considered. And the producer bit hmm I don't know if there are that many producers on this site that are willing to take on such a task, but it would very much be appreciated if there are any who are willing to mix the track.....I wished you weren't that busy so you could do it for us.....anyway I'll leave words on other sections of the board for producers who are on the look out, who can come and help

So in terms of :
1. Ask a few producers to send in or upload a 16 bar loop
personally i think this is going to require more time and we did ask other heads to make beats but none have so far posted anything but DJSEVENX..so i say we move on with that and not waste time..just my thoughts though..
3. Make an 8 bar loop of the beat available for download so every one can rap to a standard beat per minute
yeah, i think SEVENX can do this...Seven, just let us know where and when we can start downloading the 8bar loop..
4. Decide on the specifics of the theme
that was decided as well, like spyral said, its 'I AM AFRICA'
6. Let emcees spit their shit on the beat and send it over to the Africanhiphop.com crew
this is the part im confused about..who is going to do the mixdown?? is it J4 or one of us..i am busy as well mixing down tracks for the Foreign Diplomatz album but while in the lab i can also work on mixing this track down as well...i just need to know what the deal is..do we send our verses to J4 or do yall send it to me? either way im game..
7. The Africanhiphop.com crew will do the selection, arrangement and final mixing of the track.
Was this decided? again i did not see any acknowledgment from J4 that he was going to mix down...
so i guess right now im just waiting to see what the deal is..again this is the hardest part (planning)..once we get this finalized, we will be able to move on as planned.
recap:
1. We are using 'Change' as the beat
2. The theme is 'I AM AFRICA'
3. I will contact SEVEN and ask him to upload a 8bar loop of the beat
4. We need to know who will be doing the final mixdown. Again i am more than willing to help out on this or even do it myself then send it to J4 to do a better mix down if needed.
5. ACID 4.0 has been decided as the tool of recording in order for us to spit on 'Change' to the same bpm (beat for minute).
We have until the 10th of March to figure all this out, after that we really need to start recording....
One.
