I'm a Nigerian based in the U.S and I think the whole brohaha all boils down to one thang : Playa Hatting. It makes our fellow Afro-American brothers feel unwelcomed in their own motherland; their own root. FUCK EEDRIS; tryin to compare himself wit 50 who got his own clothing line, his own plane n lots more. The money 50 n his crew where paid for the show is not even up to half the money for the P-I-M-P video. Forget patriotism, Idris fuck up big tyme, bad belle nai worry am.

I think people are addressing only one aspect of this issue. No doubt eedris chose a stupid way to fight a just cause. But, the cause WAS just. I have been at gigs where us nigerian artist werent treated right. i'll go all out and mention names, an example was at the Miss common wealth 2003. We were asked to leave backstage cos Dru Hill was coming on. Now dat there is Doti, but why should I stay and slug it out with some Low life bouncers. I got too much respect for maself there. Eedris on the other hand......saw it otherwise. He was not only wrong in his choice of action,but also in his choice of whom the action should have been aimed at. Not every foriegn act can be as mature as Wyclef, MAD RESPECT to him yo. Been a Fugees fan since way back and always will. It's more than the music, personality counts too. What i'm tryin to say is, the organisers where to blame for the segregation so it was they who eedris should have vented his anger on. Not 50 or his entourage. so the crux of the matter is not for us to throw stones at eedris only, but at that type of organisation. Hope y'all see where i'm goin with this.
