I hope 2030 is a real vision
and not some sort of hallucination
I hope we can unite as a nation
and not just a bunch of tribal kingdoms
I hope for a honest politician
whose every word is not some sort of manipulation
I hope that we can vote with our heads
and not on the basis of lies we been fed
I hope ma words can shine inspiration
to help elevate my generation
I hope we can all strive to have some justice
to enable us have some inner peace
And lastly I hope it's now time to walk
coz for so long it's been just talk.
Hopes for ma country

like Couz already said, this is one of those poems u wanna hang on your walls coz anyone who reads it will feel it and get changed by it. I like the emotion in it; all hopeful though disappointed.
refreshing.
keep inking man.

This content of this piece is on point. This just about somes up all concepts, i've ever had about politics... or bad politics for this matter.
Alot of cliched statements but u still pull it off as a piece, i give you respect for that. You read it and read it again.
The form is really good, i must say. You know how to use your rhyme scheme for emphasis, for introduction of a new concept and for summarising an old one...
Good piece

Coming from a country that's recovering from an economic and political turmoil I can so much relate to your piece man, a lot of pips on our African continent need a feel of such dope phrases and relative meaning, Shalom.
