I heard your tracks finally, not bad, lyrics is ok, but that DICTION is complete nonsense, make i tell you. talking how u rap? what the hell are u talking about? the language your rapping with is not your own!, if you want to be real in that sense then rap in yoruba or Igbo, whichever one wey u be? (i can smell yoruba everywhere shaa lol). Words have a way they should be pronounced just like apop said, do u think this is nursery school? u better get your diction correct talking about accent, your songs are ok, i'm liking them, i'm actually listening as i type this. i like substance so i'll support you, but i go tell you truth homeboi, i no dey hide mouth, change the fcuking diction, its not how to speak correctly, this has nothing to do with FRONTEEN (in ur own words from the statement), i'm in MA, i speak with a nigerian accent,(its who i am, not trying to be somebody else) but i try to pronounce my words clearly, People that own the language you rap with have rules regarding how it should be spoken correctly, this has nothing to do with ebonics, slangs or ghetto talk, its just saying words the way they should be said mr greatest immortal technique fan.
i dont rap, i dont need to rap to know hiphop, and pride goes before a fall, u might wana humble yourself a lil bit if ur trying to go anywhere besides where u stand at this moment...
oh and i forgot, "ANY NIGERIAN RAPPER THAT WAS NOT BORN ABROAD AND LIVED ABROAD FOR A PERIOD OF MORE THAN 7 YEARS,AND THAT EXCLUDES HOLIDAY AND SUMMER TRIPS,that raps in a silly AMERICAN ACCENT is straight UNREAL"
so all the people that came to United states from nigeria when they were between 14 and 17 or 18 in some cases that speak completely like an american are unreal? because their accent changed with time, something completely not their fault, so therefore they are unreal because they dont speak like you, Big FAZ, the only REAL nigerian rapper? what a completely ignorant statement. lets leave it at that.
and your tracks rhyme perfectly, but thats because u pronounced the last word on the last bar the same way as the present bar. u will always have an accent, but your diction can always be better.
"then PEEK up a SCAIL and WAAY it MODAFUKA" lol...
WE GUT WOOR on our HAANS" ..dude... Meanwhile, that beat is so sick, who made that shit??
by the way its RAKIM /rɑːˈkɪm/, rah-KIM/ not RAKEEM lol, its not a yoruba name.
nice songs though.

asking me to change my diction is like the most silly thing ive heard since i started rapping....lol you sound so shallow wth that..listen the diction stays man.....and thats how i will rap for ever....that is actually my selling point..i dont disguise my diction,i rap the way i talk and thats all...i live in London and school here , and people respect and appreciate my sound more and credit me FOR MY DICTION and not even lyrics..so if you dont like the diction, kindly take it out.....
u see where your IQ comes into question again???? who said that people that left naija wen they are 14 are unreal..guy read my posts with an open head and an open heart..i do not comment on AHH like i told ik slick because of nonsensical insinuations like this,....everything i stated up is strictly how i feel like i said and not what is LAW.
correcting my diction is the silliest thing you can ever do...telling me how to pronounce Rakim..GTFOH man......
some of those beats are Mixtape beats ...they arent original..
THAT Beemerz .Benz and Bentley was a pure Freestyle, un edited, no double takes, no back ups and not for sale....everything you hear from me is promo till i drop my album in summer so realise that one.
i am an ibo man for the record..

lol, so much for criticism, because i told you to change your diction and u got bent outta shape, ur in London rite, if u see the next routemaster double-decker bus, go jam am abeg.
oh and yes, i'm an igbo boy too, and frankly, i really feel ashamed to be associated with someone like you, considering the way u think.
shallowness lol, from whose sense of judgement? yours?? i dont have any more respect for your sense of judgement than i do a nigerian rat.... sorry, u have zero perspicacity.
and if i lived in london and saw you 2moro, i'll say hi, i dont hate, just calling a spade a spade aiight, its my opinion, get mad at it. 8)

people that know me know im more down to earth than shoe soles, and i dont know more dan anybody.....but from your shallowness i sabi pass you....

i have to point out that the "air u out" i posted here was on low fi so it kinda sounded distorted. just to let you know, i recorded the song around 2008 and alotta people have heard it including mode 9 and i took their criticism so what's up with nairaland? doesn't sound like a hiphop site though. Don't know why u got so pissed about me posting immortal techniques interview, and it's not about what he said, but about his course. In my idle time, i've been able to study alotta things people like him and canibus are always pointing out in their lyrics and i have to tell u it's mind bugling. I've known alotta listening and studying these artists and i wish i can be a better fan of immortal technique like u. Did u hear about a Nigerian senator that got married to a 13 year old Egyptian girl and divorced his 17 old nursing wife? this is something people like immortal technique won't let slip like that. i don't know how long u've been in London and how long you've been outta Nigeria but i tell u, Coming here to see the standard of living and how things are here got me regretting why i did rap without educating the people about the wrongs in my society. i've seen peoples head get chopped off cos they were accused of stealing or pilfering. i lived in Aba in abia state, if u know this place, then u know what am talking about.
backtrack a little bit, using accent in rap to me has nothing to do with being real, you should be worried about people who talk about projects and call the name of all typah guns and even mention states in america in their rap. people who talk about Macdonald and subways, train and bus stations, that's unreal cos the last time i checked, they weren't in nigeria. u can use any language u like, speak English anyway u think best but ma point is the content. i like rap with polished English anyways, it helps the rap to have a little bit of rhythm to it. i like planet asia, i like masta ace for their audibility. i gotta sya dude, ya delivery sounds predictable plus u don't utilize alotta elements of Rap that helps delivery in your music. eg, multis, in rhyming two why rhyming 4 way rhyming, etc. i have to add stress on the right words.
i implore u to see this as just a way of sharing opinion cos ever since i learnt it's an asshole, i stopped taking it personal cos everybody has one just like me. xblaze is a good person trust me, i've spoken with him, we spoke in igbo and he's good and proud of where he came from. he's an educated young man, well educated believe me, u shouldn't write em off. He's worth being a friend with and he'll love to listen and even buy ya mixtape. He's that simple of a man-no homo lol. i want u not to feel attacked by my opinion here. i think we need to step our game up so we can compete globally, at list with other african nations like south africa, zambia, zimbabwe-them dudes got game believe that. have u heard of k'nnan? he's good.

american sounding nigerian emcees in my context are the MIs,the sashas ,the Sauce kids , the Jesse Jagz, the evas, and the likes that sound so lil waynish and kanyewestish and drakish...other than tht im kool with everyone..didnt u see my post on my favourite naija rappers???,....
as for the ones rapping about bentleys , murceilagos,Brooklyn, penthouse suite, and private jet i have absolutely no regards for them not even the slightest.
yeah i know and i respect other african countries over naija rap, because of this very accent issue...all those countries you mentioned, rappers like Pro Kid,Zubz,Optical illusion,Navio,HHP, all use thier african acents and pronounce words in thier accent and thats why i love dem so much
i wont lie...what attracts me to nigerian emcees at first listen is not even your lyrics but your sound..if you sound Nigerian , and i can i dentify that you are Nigeian immediately,i jump on the track..before i start listening to Lyrics..in a Nutshell Yankee sounding rappers hardly appeal to me
yeah me too i come to Aba for holiday with my Aunt at umungasi right behind star paper mill,i come there for holidays
listen to my myspace well..you would see i am more of a revolutionary kind of rapper...listen to Treat the people Right , Street Politickz , and you will notice that im addressing issues...even listen to the Statement which is a highly played tune on Pirate Radio in London and America , and you will understand me well
my mixtape is dropping in two days time , and i would love you to listen..most of the songs are Raw, Freestyles and date back to my days of Rough bedroom recording , but Teckzilla managed to make them sound good, and i am not selling , it is Free
im currently working on my full album dropping in summer, and i believe ill make a nice rap album...
i am currently playing your beats on your myspace , and i like the Osita Osadebe sample and the Ife onye Metala....if those beats are for sale, i would not mind using them on my album...lemme know ur prices, and we can negotiate
Knaan is currently one of my best rappers and you need to pick up the Mesangers Mixtape by Knaan where re remixed Felas songs along with Bob Dylan and Bob Marley...Knaan is Dope
I love so many rapppers like Master Ace, Termanology,Canibus,Killah Priest, Rass Kass,Aceyalone ,but i have to say we cant rap like them and expect any body to buy our records...
im trying to do my rap in a way i can appeal to my Niaja Hip-Hop lovers to buy my stuff and dats what im trying to do..
as for X Blaze, im still on that Bla Bla Bla tip.....

but besides that abt wats real u guys talk abt diction and how u pronounce words n stuff,i have a question, would pronouncing a word correctly mean ur keeping it realer? surely if ur true to who u are that wuld constitute being real. the core value of hip hop culture is being REAL being honest with who u are being genuine with ya passion be it commercially or non-commercially,regardless wat i believe pple who are genuine always get their time in the limelight because if ur genuine its not hard ya doing yourself and your longevity is assured. i know i probably haven't gone as deep as i wanted in trying to answer ya question, but wat i will say is although i try to keep it real i don't try to go to far and lose touch with the different sub-genres in the culture because its like going to the gym u have to work out all body parts although some body parts do get more time than others u still have to pay them attention too.

join which train? dude, see my main problem with u is disagreeing with you is a problem, not agreeing with what you say is seen as an attack to your personality, honestly, thats an insecure point of view, no offense. if u are expecting ur fans to kiss your ass in a way of soliciting support, homeboi, it wont work like that.
what am i attacking you for? i'm not looking for followers, i'm just here to air my own point of view, this is supposed to be a forum, for everybody to discuss what they want about hiphop. did I castigate you for anything you said? i simply disagreed with you, like you said, nothing you say is a LAW, so y act like they are? if u cant take criticism you are in the wrong business up front, people will criticize you, whether you like it or not, its your reaction to it thats everything. The most popular musicians around the world are criticized everyday, The Beatles, Micheal Jackson, PHil Collins, billy holiday, and the rest for the same art that other people consider them among the greatest, the fact that i said change your diction doesnt mean you should do so, this is how i felt from listening to your music. U are going to do what you want eventually. your reply; you resorted to calling names, more grease to your elbow.
I came from struggle so i know what struggle is ok, I could've had that Paradigm shift album sent to me from someone (apop u know who..), but i paid for it on CD baby just so i can do my part supporting modenine. At least thats the least i could do, when i was in enugu, when one of my pals was getting his album produced by DEkumzy, i paid for it when everybody wanted a free copy because he was a friend, I'll pay for apops mixtape, i could get it for free, but it only makes sense that i support a brother, no matter how little, you, good luck with your album, your downfall will in no way advance my hustle, so if u think that everybody is on that ignorant hate shit you need to go to school.
maybe this will feed your texas sized ego:
ur right, any nigerian that was not born abroad but lived here for more than 7 years excluding... u know the rest, is straight unreal,
if u dont rap the way u talk, ur unreal, and um, if u basically rap with an accent and ur nigerian, u need to think twice. and um LORD BIG FAZ, didnt mean to disagree with your opinion, i shoulda known u were a great fan of immortal technique, i'm just a stupid hiphop listener, and a shallow one, i'm just trying to learn from genuises like u, hopefully u will help a mentally poor soul, LORD BIG FAZ, MA is in east coast united states, abeg, no send your hiphop goons come do me driveby o, because i just dey realize, LORD FAZ, (my favourite), you SABI PASS ME.. :D
@apop, nwanne no mind me, i'm humbled by those comments, i love music, love hip-hop because of its multiculturalism and debate is my blood.
@Q
Changing your diction because you want to sound like an american in no way makes u real, thats actually selling out, because you wont succeed and u'll come off as phony from the start. i suggested that to meyer cos personally i didnt feel the way he's words came off, they were a lil improperly pronounced which is basically understandable, afterall he's not an american, but he can definitely improve the way the words sounded, that was what i meant, maybe diction wasnt the proper term. More like enunciation.i probably sound like him when i talk, but then i'm not rapping. AGAIN, just my opinion.
moving on...

asking me to change my Diction is not criticsm please its mockery, because that very diction is my selling point ...its what people like about me..
are you a Fan?/ guy i never asked you to be a fan neither are you so the question of ass kissing does not come in here...
you were the one that started by trying to make me look stuck up on this forum by putting words into my mouth...., if u try to frame me up, i will call you whatever i want......and for your information..i started rapping professionally in 2001 and i have been criticized by all and sundry .....ive encountered Fierier and more sensible critics and i have Haters in Hoardes.so i am no even batting an eyelid/....this forum is more personal to me , and i can go off here anyhow i want irrespective of my music..
listen to me i dont wanna go into all this your talk, but very soon you will see.i cant even remember things that i have done for Hip-Hop in My town...Guy ask any Hip-Hopper in Abuja if they havent heard of the name Faz and how we used to do hip-hop show, street team Cd Selling , Grafitti Drawings and Road block tunnel freestyles and i have been humbly priviledged to have artistes like Rooftop Mcs, Modenine , fIve mIcs , Pherowshuz and co grace some shows and promoted them....i might be a rat , but i know what i have done and there are millions of witnesses, so Asking me to go bck to school is very crude and Myopic from you, because from my posts you should be able to tell my level of reasoning,..

people that know me on this site and in real life that are reading this now , would really take u for a fool because your quick and stupid judgement on the texas sized Ego , is so un founded because you are talking to one of the most humble people you will ever come across......I NO SEND ..i respect those that respect me,,..ask Teckzilla, Ik Slick, Fecko , Osagz, Modenine, and co......but i can smell a Crooked hater from afar, thats whats going on now..
the train i wanted you to join is the REAL hip-Hoppers train , and not my Album or mixtape or fan bas, because if you dont like those songs on Myspace and the diction is wack you will never like me , so i cant be asking you to join my train and by the way i dont ride in trains, im in the SKy....on A G4...lol
Mister man im actually a very stupid guy..I learn Daily..I love constructive critics, and not some random guy that would be telling me how to pronounce words...i still repeat GTFOH....
Tomorrow is my Birthday and i dont need a Bum like you to spoil my Day please..im actually tidying my thing up..why dont you concentrate more on the forum , and get my music , my thoughts and my forums out of your head...
i got on this site in 2008 i think and i have been rapping way before then but i never promote my stuff on this site because i hate to mix my personal life with my music..please..dont listen to me again , and dont respect my opinions which you dont.......
i came to this site mainly to do album reviews, which i will keep doing and doing my music with my wack diction
to quote modenine - I am not just ok i am statistics / internet bloggers can all kiss my Piss stick.....
