well thank you for that question.....i repeat that TO ME MI remains wack..I bought his Album Got His Mixtape and even heard some unreleased cuts that the general public aint heard.....and i still say MI is a product of Record Label Resources and Media Hype.well WHAT I LOOK FOR IN A NIGERIAN RAPPER is

1 Originality--Listen please if you have never travelled outside nigeria and u keep rapping thru ur nose like u live in yankee thereby making urself inaudible to some people, you come accross as corny

2 Slangs-Your Ability to inculcate slangs in your rap that has to do with your nationality also has me ..like where Modenine says ill cuss u out in my Mother Tongue "Oloshi" very deep...

3 Flow-Which i cant deny that MI has.but if u gat flow without content ..it still boils down to Zero

4 Now this is the most important YOU HAVE TO MAKE SENSE !!!-mogbono feli feli im spittin like makavelli/ im chilly inside your belly/your lyrics is smelly smelly--First time i hear say rap get smell......U MUST MAKE SENSE OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

5 Co-Joining--Something Most Naija emcees are still struggling with...Freestyle of Trybes men was Good at this.......your ability to interweave words and make them rhyme in between the sentences and switching rhyme patterns

6 other qualities that make a rapper is understanding the ELEMENTS of Hip-Hop,very Good Instrumentals, and Mad ass Videos....

7 A rapper must dress like one especially in naija that we are trying to give an image of Hip-Hop to the outside world....im not mad at skinny jeans and tight shirt but i dont think thats HIP-HOP enough for the BEST rapper in NIGERIA to be wearing

well these are the things i look for in a rapper, and MI Lacks all except FLOW and a little Lyrics,But MI has what i Call BY FORCE RHYMING SYNDROME..............i still stand by MY VIEW that MI is WACK

till he proves me otherwise,im not believeing the Hype

THANK YOU SIR

@MEYER LANSKY ENT.....i knw u guys go talk say dose lines're nt dope,but if na mode9 talk am now,una go dey jump up oooh!!...its plain 2 see u guys're already biased.those're not even M.I's tightest lines...dey're jst d ones i cud rmbr....maybe u have a personal relatnship with mode9,dats makn y'all hide 4rm d truth like dis
what about "the only way u're cold is ya career is a cadaver" i was really ashamed to play that stuff while people are around ma house. lol

this doesn't make sense at all. mode 9 is a rapper that has tried to put us on the map of the world with this no nonsense dope joints. he's the only rapper that has taking his game so serious, gotta tell u the truth, i started rappin again because of mode 9. when i heard formidable, it blew me off, me and ma man inferno picked up a pen and scripted tight joints and actually paid for studio time to record the song, that was in 2001/2002. People like M.I selling records, that can really make me and other vets out there to hang their mic cos it doesn't all make sense now.

i actually agree with u man. tryna rap thru ya nose and sounding yankeeish doesn't mean you're good. lol, that's what really get to this boiz, it's funny cos that proves how daft some people could really be. in ma opinion, if u think M.I is good -which i i know he's not, then this guy is super dope

if u've not listened to that joint, i need to in order to understand what am saying lmao

@apo,i think u hating on m.i, u take one line thats not f**king relevant and make it ur only point here and u shld see what the posts here say, nobody ever said mod ain't tight, it's more like reminding him that he's too real to be slept on.... nuff said

lol, i bet u wouldn't use those line either. i think mode 9 need to work with better producers than the ones he's been working with except kraft-i personally like the dude. mode can actually work with people like me,so sick and other fresh producers out there to really take his game to the level that it's suppose to go. okay, alotta y'all are like this dude is so full of himself, he actually put himself on the list. cohbams is good too and the rest i can't remember, and when i mean production, i mean people who can actually give him good musik not just beat and let em do whatever he wants with the chorus. i know this dude in lagos that's been slept on, he can make crazy choruses, he actually was featured in a song i produced and the song turned out to be the fans favorite in my place. the artists that featured him became famous in ma local area, shot a video and got mad airplays and TV slots. He needs to work like that i mean, he got the lyrics, experiment with tight and broad minded producers and see what am talking about.

saysaysay thank you for your very candid write up.....mi is fucking dope as in very very dope to you if not the best???? well OPINIONS ARE LIKE ASSHOLES EVERYONE HAS ONE......to me MI remains WACK and is still yet to convince me that he can really RAP........he flows well no doubt but I REPEAT hes not in MY top 5 ....Im sure i like MI more dan u wen he first dropped I ANALYZED all his works..he doesnt have ONE song i havent heard.......LISTEN take it or leave.....it TIME WILL TELL...HES NOT THE BEST ....for the mere fact another rapper is more commercially viable than the other dont mean he is better in MOST cases it means he is WACKER.if you are a STUDENT of hip-hop u would know that its the "WACK" rapper sell minus the ones we know like biggie pac and co but regularly wackness sells more.................let me tell u again answer this question Drake gets more shows than Kool g rap ,Sells more and is on TV and RADIO more but DRAKE BETTER THAN KOOL G RAP????? please yes or no

please note my capital words ..i dont hate MI ...i wish for his next album to be a classic cus i hate no rapper but I LOVE HIP-HOP ........ i dont think theres no mainstream Rap album by any nigerian rapper i dont have,,..i hope for naija HIP-HOP flag to flown by a REAL emcee that posesses ALLA the elements..other rappers can do what they like but the BEST must posess all the elements of HIP-HOP

WE DO IT FOR THE LOVE

#nowplaying C-Drill-Air you out Sauce Kid and Ruggedman diss

sidenote..im an emcee too and i marked the word "other rappers" more dan 35 times in different songs that MI has done and i happen to fall into that category so i have some words for him but im kinda busy now..my day Job is taking my time...but ill get to him later**********< dont forget i said so>

anyway, saysay, i see where ur going on saying that people are actually liking hiphop because of M.i, inspite the fact that that may be true to some extent, it still doesnt make up for the fact that he shouldnt be more profound when writing lyrics, he's giving hiphop an already bad impression for people who are listening for the first time and hoping to make sense out of this, u know, everybody will dance to a beat, but real music lovers listen to lyrics, and that new hiphop fan in naija thats trying to check out M.i. and hears that will be dissappointed, sick flow no doubt, but u wont last long with JUST a sick flow, u need to take time and write down something, this is not kindergarten, if u listen to some mature alternative rock, u will agree that these dudes put in serious work when writing, does hiphop have to be any different?

Then on another level, just like the way i feel about Soulja boy, young berg, gucci mane, i also feel about M.I., its better he's making money doing something legitimate than shooting or robbing innocent people, so i will encourage him, but top 10? (wonder who was saying top 5), not even close.
saysay, overdose, pheroshawz, ill bliss, these are good naija rappers aiight.

i think i've explained myself enuff endwayz, i'm not starting all over again because of u, this has nothing to do with misinformation, i'm not telling u what somebody told me, i live music, not just hiphop, i LISTENED to him and gave u my opinion on what i feel about his rap style ok. just because its my opinion doesnt mean its the gospel, u might like him so much which is ok, but what i said earlier is how i feel about him based on my standards of what rap should be. read my previous posts. peace out.
