For battle style rap lovers and canibus fans, well, finally the album from canibus is out; Melatonin Magik.
Unfortunately... and I'm a fan and after two listenings...

i'm disappointed..

No easy way to say it, Lyrics are still canibus-dope, but beats are garbage except for 2 or 3 tracks. He even got murked on one of the songs that he featured someone on, one DZK rapper, suffice it to say canibus obviously didnt obtain any experience from Rip the Jacker album produced by stoupe, his choice of beats is appalling, what a waste of lyrics. He didnt notice that as soon as he released an album full of melody like Rip the Jacker and For whom the Beat Tolls, he actually got some attention. this goes to prove once more..

.. Change is inevitable, if u dont change, change itself will overtake you...

sup Couz, ive listened to all Canibus albums, 2000 B.C is dope no doubt but u should check the new album out regardless, its still worth the listen, but Rip the Jacker is definitely his best effort no doubt, the beats and the lyrics are 9/10 if u ask me. Well produced album by Stoupe (the sampler lol), he knows how to make use of samples and canibus came through with ravaging and aggressively well conceived lyrics.
For whom the beat Tolls is definitely a good album, he made better choice of beats and it paid.
