I thought that as I grew older, my love for that pure, unadulterated hip-hop would decline. I gotta say, it has actually intensified. Here are a few cats I feel are really bringing it in this here present-
Elzhi
Phonte
Median
Skyzoo
Black Poet
Asher Roth

OMG!...Kev Brown...love that dude to death...he produced Tumi's 'Bophelo Bame' (the video with the cassette tape and Tumi-rapping-in-a-train scenes). The hook sang by KG was mad tight. Kev also did tracks in Jazzy Jeff's 'The Magnificient' album (I play it everyday, soul & jazz I was born with...lol). Kev reminds me of Pete Rock & Jay Dilla. Another dude am feeling is Simba, his 'Lovely Day' joint (the video) used to get regular spins not too long ago. Masta Ace & dem boys be comin' thru' too.
