If you thought 50’s “Ghetto Q’uran” was a snitch record, how about this: a full-fledged album that eventually gets everyone arrested including the rapper himself. Sez the Washington Times:


New York detectives say a drug dealer and aspiring rap singer outlined his entire criminal enterprise in the liner notes of his CD.

Terrence Jones, nicknamed Big Chef, called himself “the 500-gram cooker” and the “bag twister” in his lyrics, and listed members of his drug-dealing network in the notes, the New York Daily News reported.

“It’s like the confessions of a rap star/drug dealer,” said Inspector Steven Powers of the Brooklyn North narcotics unit. “We looked at it and said, ‘Wow, he’s giving a lot of details about his life.’”

Jones and 20 others were arrested after a 16-month investigation at the Bushwick Houses, a housing project in Brooklyn. During what was known as Operation Bushwhack, undercover officers made drug buys in the project, which was allegedly infested with five gangs of dealers.
Jones claimed to have sold 1,500 copies of his CD, “Hood Hop.”

This article is hilarious for several reasons. It describes the Big Chef fella as a rap singer, more like singer to me. The “Start Snitching” movement has finally kicked in.
