In recent times, the Nigerian music scene has experienced a major upgrade in quality; with music being churned out from different genres by very talented and creative artists, the future of Nigerian music industry is without a shadow of a doubt shining very brightly.
As the year gracefully comes to an end, Knighthouse Creative is set to take the game up another notch with the introduction of a compilation album titled 'Street Scriptures Volume 1', which is the first installment in a series of albums to celebrate the fast blossoming music industry in Nigeria.
The Street Scriptures Vol. 1 presents the best of naija Hip-hop stars on a series of collaborations featuring the established rap heavyweights, the hot new rising stars and the best of the underground, bringing you the most definitive hip-hop album ever made. From the underground ciphers to the club bangers, The STREET SCRIPTURES Vol.1 album celebrates hip-hop music and culture recognizing the industry playas that rep true and the new faces re-defining real Hip-hop on the streets.
Knighthouse plans to release different volumes under the Street Scriptures title, covering different genres of music. E.g. Vol. 1: Hip-hop, Vol. 2: Alternative RnB /soul, Vol. 3: Rock, etc. This will allow for a wider audience and also better reach. It will be an avenue to:
a. Showcase the best of Nigerian artistes
b. Discover and promote underground musical talent
c. Create a platform 4 various musical practitioners to work together
d. Deliver hip-hop to the people in a way that has never been heard before
The first singles off the album were recently released online and on local radio stations. These singles include the smash club hit 'Purple' featuring M.I, Nyore and Mo'Cheddah and the hard-hitting 'Hate' featuring Illbliss, Othello and Aye'sha.
These songs are currently enjoying very good airplay and impressive reviews both on the local and international scene.
The Knighthouse 'Street Scriptures Volume 1' is the brain child of Knighthouse' top-guns ;Aderogba Arimoro, Lanre Oladimeji,and Temitope Gomez and the album features some of the most talented music artists and personalities in this part of the world, coming together to make the finest collaborations in the history of music in Nigeria.
The roll call on the album is an impressive blend of the old and the new; it features names like Mode 9, Illbliss, Terry Tha Rapman, Othello, M.I, Kel, Blaise, Nyore, Mo'Cheddah, Teeto C-Mos, Dj Sose, Teckzilla {Str8buttah}, Rooftop MCs, 4th Rebublic, World Famous Academy,Loose Kaynon, Skuki, KB {Trybesmen}, XYZ {Str8buttah}, Tha Suspect, Roguewave, T-Rex, Bigtyme, Mike Majik, Q-Gen just to mention a few.
