I honestly was disapointed when i checked out the channel o mva's. The voting by the viewers was so immature, honestly Fid-Q's video featuring witness was not better than jozi's 'muthaland' video it was more expensive and had different locations unlike Fid-Q's video which was only had a chromed red back ground.Lizha James lost to gal level, come on just compare the two concepts and video quality. Lizha james' was better, even just the track itself.gal level's just sounds too off key.S.A's jabba a.k.a HHP who reps Maftown did not walk away with any award but the video and track are classics am talking Music and lights, the vid even featured Amerie which is a rear achievment by an african hip hop artist to feature an american star, how many hip hop artistes have ever done that?last time i checked none.Naeto C's kini big deal video didnt get no award, but jus' look at the concept behind it,the quality of the video and the track itself,1 of the best in africa!I was also disappointed that no video's from my country were not picked under any nominaion and the reason is not known!D.j cleo also walked away with nothing.
Though,i must say that Da Les,Bongs & Pro kid's callabo was outstanding the best hip hop peformance so far at channel O's mva's.Big up to E-kills from the World Famous Academy crew who walked away with an MVA and also a great performance for his and Naeto c's tracks.Keep on REPRESENTING HIP HOP man and yes its about time.
So next year for those of us voting let us vote wisely and put the quality, concept and track itself into consideration and not just because that particular artist reps your country.

nice review! but i doubt if people are willing to change , patriotism always get the better of them before you can say Mugabe :D , so shit's like that i remember losing a battle to a friend of a show Anchor that had friends in the crowd, i never knew it till i lost like 100 dollars which was the prize money. shit happens but Channel o is jus' all about the Money, they don't give 2 fuccs.

word wreck!you know what i feel music in africa will go nowhere if we keep up with such self centered mentalities.music is all about recognation of hard work, unity support and inspiration,so if we keep on like this will amount to the bottom of the scale whose error is on zero. and if we live long in this error then all our efforts have amounted to nothing meaning all we did was a waste of time and energy because of self centered individuals.PEACE
