Redefining what is crip!
The first words here would be open your mind tothis new music and information as some bunch of hiphop heads bring the revolution to social activism, poetry and afrocentric sounds.A look at what is crip and history!
From Baby Avenues Gang to Avenue Cribs and then Avenues Cribs. In 1971,Crips became common among the Avenues cribs that it became the acceptable name. The crips was born before the bloods,a sorta pentecostal break out from the catholic church (actually the Avalon Garden Crips and the Inglewood Crips joined forces with the other crip-The Pirus, Brims, Athens Park Boys, and Pueblos decided to unite with the Bloods, and soon after, other groups who had been threatened or attacked by Crips sets to form the bloods).
Though the founders Raymond Washington and Stanley Williams were never able to develop an agenda for social change within the community and instead became obsessed with protecting themselves from other gangs in the community.
The Crips worked so hard that by evry 1980's there were heavily involved and number one crack distributor through out the states and neighbouring countries. Some of the poineering crips were Avalon Garden Crips, Eastside Crips, Inglewood Crips and Westside Crips.Crip members initiate into the gang by committing a crime in front of gang witnesses. The initiation process is called 'Loc'ing'-In. Female members have the option to commit a crime or become Sexed-In (Sex with several older members). Crips on the East Coast wear blue and clear beads or blue and white beads around their neck but mostly blue jeans and a white shirt. One thing that is clearly pointed out is the unconditional passion to have control over one's fate and seeing the failing governemnt has structure that has lost the purpose of his creation
Ever wondered,The almighty government is not a structure God put together from the garden of Eden, some one saw the need for there to be a set of individuals who would call the shots, control everything and every body.
And where is the best place to start this proclamation of Community Revolution In Progress than on the side of the globe,My and your dear Oh Nigeria!
Revolutionizing the community would stand as the land mark of a new Nigeria and consequent a new Africa, undoubted it is no piece of pie and might have being said my some who either contributed in see this to a large extent but not large enough to keep the smile a typical Nigeria has while he suffering than a beast of labour.
Crip flag song from the 365 Naijaboiz stand to serve as a marching song to pilot this course by a bunch of young emcees called 365 Naijaboiz.listen here athttp://api.ning.com/files/zh8YmMw1jzT ... pFlag2.mp3
365 Naijaboiz is made up fo Morak,Yung Naira,JRich And Dro.The crip flag song might cut across to you like another 'bubble gum Young Jeezy wanna be' hiphop acts but underneath leaves a proclamation for the informed. The beat is catchy undoubtedly and the trademark Young Jeezy 'Yeaaaaaaaah' drag would keep you spell bound only to probably curse out after you are done listening to the entire song (a slave to the trend) but this is by no way that sort of song.
.
If you are up for the revolution then begin to recite the hook:
'crip flag in my pocket,Neck all froze,
we don't giv a fuck and we dont love them hoes,
we'll do the damn thing,
you! you !'
If you are up for that community revolution, then you are wearing that'virtual' crip flag already.'Neck all froze',no you don't need making a necklace from ice blocks to get your neck froze and for those who might already know this means your neck adorned with diamonds this is not getting materialistics or better still it is but not in the present time.If the revolution begins, the greedy politicians would let the money circulate and in addition to a better standard of livelihood there would be an extra cash for an individual to get a material.
The only way to achieve this is not giving a fuck, not being cut out for their mind games and showing no love like paying to take a prostutitue home (no from experience please!)
Crip Flag begins with fecko with intellectually digging and informing the listener what is crip and adding 'I'm not a crip thug, don't miscontrue' and Morak concludes with spelling out his affilaition and in between the track saw Yung Naira and JRich Showing off tremendous street cred.
