Hi my people.
Can someone please tell me how to translate "Just like water" into Swahili? Is it something like "kama maji"?

Please answer...

Our girl, "kama maji" is close. But it leaves out the word "just". I would think that "kama maji tu" is closer.

And on a lighter note "just like water" may also mean "penda / taka maji tu"
Let us chat. I love Kenya my country. I love Africa my continent. I love the human race - my brothers and sisters.

rascubs, thank you so much.
I really need to learn Swahili...
Another question: Is there an extra word for "lioness" (female lion) or is there just "simba"?

You can use SIMBA.

'Simba wa kike' is a female lion just like you can say 'simba wa kiume' - a male lion. But a lion is a lion.

"simba wa kiume" is like saying "man lion"...a better way of saying it would be "simba dume" which means "male lion" and "simba dike" for "female lion"[/quote]

'kama vile maji' makes it sound just like the water but there are rare direct translateable words from english to swahili and vice versa.
Out of curiousity why the questions about some easy phrases are you a writer or amotivational speaker?

just asking....
