the 1st episode of channel 0 sprite emcee africa rap battles was off the hook.
the show was sold out and represented african hiphop like no other event
its the end of 2008 and we wanna bring suggestions to what we like to see in the next version in 2009. here is for lee kasumba and the rest of the channel o emcee africa 2 crew thinking about a bigger version of the battle rap tourney.here are my suggestions :
1. EMCEE AFRICA 2 finale SHOULDNT BE HELD IN SOUTHAFRICA , BUT IN GHANA OR NIGERIA OR ANY OTHER COUNTRY this time around
2. THERE SHOULD BE 2 FINALISTS REPRESENTING EACH COUNTRY
3. THE ENTRIES SHOULD BE ADVERTISED SO THAT A LOT OF MCS CAN HAVE A CHANCE TO BATTLE
4. THE BATTLE RAP EVENTS SHOULD BE HELD MORE FREQUENTLY ...YALL CAN PUT UP MORE SUGGESTIONS FOR EMCEE AFRICA 2

M.I
OVERDOSE
FREESTYLE
BLAISE (I really like the way she held it down at the previous edition alongside modo)
...also DJs and radio/tv presenters should be given a chance to judge....katz like Dj Jimmy Jatt, J.A.J da meccadon, Dj Humility, KB of Datrybes.... will certainly make good judges at the next edition. Word!!!

we actually need those who understand the art of battle rapping . od, freestyle, mi and co would do very well.
the number of slots from each country may be increased to 2 .to enable us have an elaborate battle filled tourney .the second edition is about to start in january /feb 09. yall should watch out and drop more suggestions. it gettin bigger this time around.

But it's nothing compared to what this season promises to be with $10 000 up for grabs.
has anyone here got the gift for the freestyle battle rap job? This one's for you!
Built on its underground credibility, Emcee Africa II is set to head into the mainstream, finding talented peeps who have the freestyle, battling and performing skills to become Africa’s number one emcee. This means anyone who wants to step up to the mic could pocket the $10 000 prize money and land the hottest track of 2009 by collaborating with African Hip-Hop Royalty.,and A world class music video to be played worldwide
Five countries will be taking part in this year's Africa’s rawest hip-hop talent competition:
Botswana (Fashion Lounge in Gabarone on 18 April)
South Africa (Roka Bar in Milpark on 25 April)
Ghana (Tantra in Accra on 7 May)
Nigeria (Insomnia Nightclub (Formerly Reloaded)in Lagos on 10 May) and
Kenya (WAPI, British Council, Upper Hill, in Nairobi on 23 May)
They will all be eyeing the ultimate crown during the 13-episode series.
Performance for starters - the ability to rock the crowd and display enough swagger with prepared lyrics to impress. The skill to freestyle on any topic over a popular banger will also score points. And, finally, whoever comes out tops in one-on-one battling will be en route to the finals.
Country eliminations will produce two finalists each from South Africa, Botswana, Nigeria, Ghana and Kenya and then the judges hand over to the public to choose – through online and SMS voting.
Join our presenter Lee Kasumba and help discover Africa’s illest emcee make it to the top.
