I came across a discussion on another board about the Firefox browser. There was over 10 pages of post all in favor of this browser over internet explorer. After testing it out, I knew I had to spread the word you all. This browser is off the hook, the speed over a 56k connection is impressive. There's soo much to it, for those looking for a browser with no security holes, reliabilty, speed, and extra eye sweet features---check this baby out. You can't go wrong with the fox, peep it---out

It's fine to discuss software in here, especially if it is FREE software which is a good alternative to the commercially based Microsoft stuff.

I just opened up a new area in the forums to talk about software, computers, production equipment and that type of stuff.

firefox's tabbed browser approach kills Internet Explorer dead in it's tracks. plus it's extensions are good for blocking popups and all sorts of stuff.

Have found some bugs though as it doesnt appear to handle proxying very well. For the average user cool. for web developers a nightmare as you have to accomodate it when coding a site.

regardless excellent browser.

Of course u can
right click -> save link as

a nice feature I like abt FireFox is that u can block images, e.g. if some1 has a sinature that u don't like or u think it's offensivem, u just right click and block it.

I'm using 4 browsers at the moment, Internet Explorer, FireFox, Netscape and Opera. FireFox is still numro uno.

you can't do it on all sites though. on some sites you end up saving a .php info page...this doesnt happen with opera or IE
