involved in education, culture, politics, social justice and
industry. In carrying out its mandate, votu works with the help of
mtaafm.com & we look forward to meet volunteers to help promote Kenyan
underground artists.V.O.T.U objective is to promote underground &
concentrate on issues relating to
underground hip-hop to achieve the
objectives, V.O.T.U creates awareness & stirs sensitivity with the aim
of provoking each individual in our community to recognize and accept
the underground. We are the creative non-mainstream, the รข??under
culture we think there is such thing as under culture and we are a
part of it, along with people who seem to share a vision of the world
that's substantially similar. We must find unity among our sister's
&
brothers once again like we did in the 80's & early 90's or
hip-hop's
evolution will continue to industrialized, raped & robed from where it
was born: THE STREETSWe love the extremely funky ,rhythmically
inclined & ultra creative (original) art form we call hip-hop music,
which the mainstream find so repulsive(.I can't understand what they
are saying) PLAN We are planning to start workshops including not only
intensive
sessions on the initial four elements of hip hop but also
interactive discussions on Health Care, Education, Women in Hip Hop,
Event Planning, the Recording Industry, Youth Violence and much more
