Do I have to be abusive or submissive to have attention that is not inductive; do I have to write the wrong and not the truth? Do I have to write party and life which does not exist, do I have to talk about bitches to get some crowd and talk about how fucked up they are, how they shake there booty at any given time in this world, even at war they will still shake there booty. I don’t need to talk about that, for everyone who has gone thru’ booty needs not to hear about it. The fake ass niggaz who feel they know booty are the ones who talk about it. I fail to understand what people really want, I can’t even get a comment, I have connected with the real world talking of the truth and all it brings to life, the sadness that feels our hearts, but no body seems to feel what I say even a comment to add up on the life struggles. People are all behaving like things are ok, and 90% of singers we have all talk about fantasy, and what they wish to be having, the real sense they are staving, and some are surviving after hiring cars and clothes to shot videos, what’s the point telling lies living in a world with no good, Africa is in crisis the majority are struggling me included, I thank God he gives me life to face each day with all I have. We all have dreams and they all come in true color but the thing is that life there is no color, it’s a garbage and we have to dig to each day to find the good in it. Am with it because am real and not full of fantasy, am working for bare minimum, the gal I was with cant even afford the bare minimum, there is no real or good that can fall in place, I don’t write because I can do so I write the truth and it will for ever be. Some advice to the fake MCs be real talk the truth, stop the dream land, I woke up long ago, I stopped the sleep walk and not am following the dream and where I have reached I thank God for it. Am not rich and am not ashamed of that, life is a struggle and it will for eve be like that. Should I go crazy on my words talk abusive and bitches to be given some comments? Life’s fucked up and that’s the truth and I fuck bitches and I don’t talk about it. I talk of truth so that anyone who has to read can visualize and give thanks for where he or she is and make progress to make life better. Keep in mind there is a small percentage who can afford party once a week leave alone everyday. So if you’re waiting for me to make a party rhyme, maybe in heaven when the entire struggle goes away. So be real!!!

Getting people to hear and feel your message is kinda a hard task. . .the easiest way is to appeal to the positive. . .the good life they already/fantisize about living. It has been taken to the extreme nowdays, but lets face it, in a world ruled by commercialism, it would be almost unfair to say that the "money cars women" type of music does not contain any message. Maybe just a distorted message, but a message exists.

The other way is to appeal to the negative. . .seriously abusive and excentric views really makes us prick our ears and be like "what did he say again?". Thats why we love Eminem, remember lol. There are people who can relate to that, they lives aint all that rosy. Maybe hearing someone else in the same situation can give them hope.

The ideal boi is one who can cruise in between these extremes. Jay Z does it quite well. .big boy pimpin but he dont loose respect for the customer.

Damn! It gets me asking, is it wrong for an MC to drop a few soft party jams jus to get the chips in?

willpress! i do respect the love you have for the game and all, i appreciate the effort you put and the facts you lay on the table, its really awesome, but the reality is that life is not a pool of fun and the majority are in that strain, Jay Z is good cause he got what he needs and what it takes. but why do we have to mention big cars and big houses and yet most of us are far from that! poverty is major and that the truth, i cant hide it, i will mention it each day in each form and even if it will need adverts i will do it. why borrow and show off? why take loans to do expensive cuts, if your dope your dope bottom line, niggaz want to sing about gals and party that's them but in the real world its struggle, and pain, and i do this writing to encourage some one falling off, i am where i am because i struggle and i never gave up. i cant write about gals and party for thats not the life i live, so why fantasies, am real!! i know am hard and i have been told that before, but lets face the facts life is garbage for the majority and we dig up each day for some good in that garbage. i do appreciate your view and this is Africa for crying out loud, i cant be Em or even Pac or Krs one, our lives are different, but bottom line no room for kapuka likes, for life is messed up and if niggaz want to party go ahead, am not doing this to sell am doing it for i got brains and got love for the truth!!!!!!!

This wat' I call educative arguments, @ willpress; I get u' point but there is somethin i wanna point out to you, If you understand Hiphop as a culture then you well know that there aint nuthin like fakin' in Hiphop, Hiphop is realnes man, so let guy 'sing' abt wateva they want, let em' fantasize but let em' not call that Hiphop, they can call it genge, kapuka or crunk or wateva. The problem we havin locally is that this guys want to immitate Jay Z , Em and the rest, but they refuse to see tha facts that this likes of Jay Z and the rest got wat it takes to talk about wat they do in their tracks and to potray wat they do on their videos becoz thats how they live on tha real, if Jay Z raps about ownin a yacht he owns it on tha real, he owns em expensive sport cars and mansions, he owns all that bling on his chest .e.t.c,
This local cats talkin abt women shakin booty ,alchohol and shit, man, tell me wat msg they tryna pass to tha listeners??, Hiphop is abt Edutainment man, passin tha wisdom ....
The bottom line is, if this local cats wanna call emselves Hiphop!!!, then they gotta be fo' real man.

Yeah Emigee and Couzifer. . . I agree with both of you in several ways. The fact is that most MCs are cheating themselves, giving the society a raw deal plus wasting lots of time and good beats producing dead music.
Kenya is just fresh from a fuckd up elections that left us wondering if we really have a chance of controling the destiny of this country. There is a looming food crisis and most of us rarely take three square meals daily. Check your pockets. . .nuthn more than some peanuts to call cash. . .yea, basically, even though we dont say it, sooo many of us are in serias need of something to believe in. . .and kapuka isnt helping in any way. . .

well...educative argument..sio? Nway, the thing about this whole kapuka vs real hiphop thing is that there really is no debate as far as Im concerned.
I fully agree with Couzifer n Emigee - let the guys with the money, fast cars n yachts talk about all that crap - coz they can afford to do so. We'll give them a break.
But I dont really expect to hear some bugger blabbering about fast cars, money and partying when he actually cant do none of all that shit n actually lives a few blocks from me in some shoddy middle-class estate.
C'mon - what does it hurt to keep it real? Ok, Prezzo does the whole flossing thing real good. So I'll give him a break coz nigga has cash. But he aint hiphop and will never be - and I'll bet u ten cents he aint gonna try to start a debate on the validity of that statement.
But the day a kapuka bugger moves into some leafy suburbs and starts singing about spinning wheels...well, there u go...u deserve a break.
