My first beat making software was FL Studio 4. I later had v.6, last year got v.7 and just last week i got my hands on Fl Studio 8. it's gotten me wondering. Are all these upgrades necessary? I know about a new addition in 7 called Edison but hey I got Cool Edit, Audition and several versions of Sounforge so what the heck? Somebody educate me.
What Can I do With FL Studio 8 that I can't with version 4

haven't had time to mess with fl 8 yet...but i thinks its got a new feature where u can create (& share) ur own synth...that's cool! each new version generally (but not always) runs smoother (due to fixed bugs)...edison's quick & easy to use (sound forge's better tho)...just think of FL 8 as having evrythin u need on the fly in 1 work space.
PS: FL 4 didn't have the "wave traveller" & its mad cool!

A lot. LOl. Thing with FL8 is it includes new plugins which will make it more fun to use and more effective. Try going on to google and searching for product overviews and check the differences...
