well, not being discrimbative about race or tribe, I think you guys needs to listen to the greatest lyricist from Africa and thats the one and only Modenine.

Modenine's album titiled "Malcom IX" was the best album a lyricist could ever put to the table and despite it didnt really sell like it was expected to do but it was a great accomplishment for the artiste and also rank him amongs the world best mcs.

I waould have to say the Chronic. Lyricaly not the best album but this album was like a great soundtrack. It had all of these different styles and flavors over the gifted Dr. Dre's production. In my opinion there is not another album even close to this one as far as complete listening pleasure.

Lyrical the best album hands down is Eric B and Rakims Follow the leader followed by the other 3 Eric b and Rakim albums. One Rakim song has more lyrical content and depth than any album including nas, talib kwele, Mos Def and Common and I love these artist music. I want anyone who don't recognize the R.s dominance to listen to any flow these man has ever spit. He raps Common, Nas, Mos Def, Ice Cube, Scarface, Tupac, Biggie, Jay Z, Scarface and any other type of MCing into one thought in his flow. He's like a great Spike Lee joint, his 16 bars will hit your mind in about eight different angles. This man is socialy conscious, gangsta, poetically dominant, a hustla and abstract all together. He is the lyrical Jehovah

Rakim (full name Rakim Allah, born William Michael Griffin Jr. on January 28, 1968 in Wyandanch, Long Island, New York) is an African-American rapper who is widely regarded as one of the most influential figures in hip-hop history. Rakim is also widely regarded as one of the greatest and most influential rappers of all time.

I am desperately looking forward to "The Seventh Seal" is the 3rd solo upcoming album from Rakim. It will be released on his own label Ra Records and it's also his first album after an absence of 8 years. While performing at Stubb's BBQ, Austin, TX on March 17, 2007, Rakim announced that "The Seventh Seal" would be released July 7, 2007.
